Wow.. amazing...

It's almost like ukraine isn't even fighting a war. It's just NATO. We could give zambia billions of weapon systems too, and have US operators manning most of them remotely, and tell the world how brave, and good fighters the people of zambia are. OH WOW... THEY MAKE THE DRONVES FLY!

Was going to suggest it was posted somewhere in the rear but let's be honest, a barrier troop robot detachment would run out of ammo fairly quick. Until the data was recently classified, Ukrainian courts recorded ~20000 official desertion cases a month.

This data is incredibly unreliable. The officials don't have a reason to report when someone dies because he is responsible for paying them, so all the time a soldier is MIA, he keep receiving the money that was supposed to be paid for the soldier for "when he came back".

SLAVA ROBOT
SLAVA SNAKE ISLAND
SLAVA GHOST OF KIYEIV
>>
>>524263031
Look at it from tactical perspective.
Robot deployed at some relatively minor road. Zigger drones spot it. They know that it is there. Not sure, is it butafory or real. Wat to do? Call artillery, and risk that counter artillery radar will spot artilery location? Launch drone, which they already have in limited supply? Send Vasily, to check is it operational?
Lets say some units went, and received minor barrage overhead. Retreated. How long will it take for them to check, does battery remains charged?

It is interesting direction in which things are developing.
>>
>>524263434
they just use a fpv to clean it.
Pic related is a city covered in optic fibres (Russians fly droves over the houses some 50 times looking for Ukrainians before sending troops)
This shit is surreal...
>>
>>524263668
Probably those drones contains explosive shrapnel charges. Effective against personel. How effective against such robot? Who knows. Sensors, which are sensitive part, their area are smaller. Battery container could be covered with 3mm steel, which reduces shrapnel damage. Is it worth to send 6k worth fiber optic drone to kill it? Or to use it against some WAY more soft and unprotected biological target.

Anon, those drones cost at best 1000$, including chink and vatnik corruption taxes and the whole optic fiber spool (which is the cheapest one since they only need to use it once)
Meanwhile those wunderwaffes cost who knows many millions.
Just look at the pic, those flimsy hydraulics and the ammo belt, this shit would fold on the first hit
>>
>>524264001
Just to be clear, I do think automated fire turrets have their uses in war. But robots?
They need to be recharged and reloaded. This makes it impractical for unmanned defences and too expensive to be used in the offensive (hell, a soviet shell cost 100 USD to fire, a fpv drone cost 500)
>>
>>524264450
>Anon, those drones cost at best 1000$
No, no. Fiber optic ones, those are expensive.
That is common myth that they are cheap, that they cost "just 200 USD".
Among ukrainians, there was also idea to use fiber optic ones, but at the end, was rejected because of high cost. They returned to that idea, after zigger side started to use them en masse, and seen how effective those are.

What in media they are saying, that some "200$ worth drone destroyed a tank", that is bullshit.

Send patrol once in two weeks to switch batteries. Instead of keeping troops in vicinity for 24/7, they can be in more back location, in more comfortable bunkers.
Essentially, that allows to control area with smaller number of troops.

Look at it from USA perspective. That there might be lower numbers of troops willing to join an army, and be deployed say, in Iran. Because... Greatest Ally needs assistance. Then with such robots, can achieve tactical goals, while keeping smaller numbers of troops on a ground.

Those are not for offensive. It is more as semi-passive area denial tools. Instead of landmines, which are hard to spot. Robots, which can be moved around, if needed.

At moment, a lot of tech gets tested in Ukraine. Even Baltics are testing our cheap anti-drone missiles there.

Anon, you can literally go into aliexpress and check the prices, the high end drones are 1000$, and the spool is just another 200$ for 10km of fiber.

Those drones are with larger battery pack, bigger motors, bigger spool. Those are not of-the-shelf Aliexpress drones anymore. Those have custom made boards, with various sets of sensors on them.
Those of-the-shelf aliexpress drones, in best case, they got used for recon in less important areas.

>>524265463
Cheap recon drones does not need to carry payload.
There is large areas where nothing much has happened for months. Trenches few hundred meters from each other side. Holding position, checking is there some other activity in vicinity. Then you can distribute cheap drones to smaller local units, that they can monitor area themselves.

For suicide drones, depending on range, you need to calculate how much increase lifting power and battery capacity. Which increases costs.

With thank it is simpler. Often there is shaped charge, which penetrates armor, and shrapnel kills the crew. If lucky, ammo detonates (well, soviet love for autoloaders have some drawbacks).

10k for destroyed tank, it is bargain price. As Stugna-P missile costs around 40k, NLAW similar, Javelin around 200k.

A year ago there was built 700k grave visible from space - so that hard base line without a question, another 400k again a year ago was searched by their relatives through red cross on the ukraine - so are drafted and not deserted since they would find a way to contact their relatives - that's a minimum 1.1 million dead a _year_ ago for them. Plus abandoned and mercs - so 1.5 million minimum, very consistent with Russian weapon production-usage and the accelerating ukranian temps of kidnapping their own citizen.

V.Putin recently signed deal with N.Modi about taking in indian workers.

Also, that draft summons system, which can more narrowly target needed specialists, it is finally online (in august, if not mistaken).
Depending on how successful will be that program with indian workers, it might allow to draft another say 100k troops, on top of that 300k draft, which was in autumn of 2022.
Low numbers of zigger troops is one of reasons why front line is moving so slow. Even 100k will help a lot. Partially depends, on how successful Russia will be in attracting those indian workers.

There was 15k from Best Korea, and it was not enough. Will V.Putin manage to convince Kim to lend some troops again? Who knows.

Anon, your entire argument is based on misconceptions. Indian workers are primarily replacing Central Asian workers who left the country after sanctions were imposed and the war began. Absolutely everyone who was drafted in 2022 has long since returned home, now there are only volunteers and contract soldiers fighting. There are indeed not many soldiers in Ukraine but this does not affect the speed of advancement in any way. The last advances we had were purely tied to the fact that Ukraine does not have enough troops to hold the entire front line stable while we have enough troops to take advantage of this. The only reason why there might be a mobilization is if Putin decides to end the war with a few major offensives rather than slowly and surely killing Ukrainians.

>Absolutely everyone who was drafted in 2022 has long since returned home, now there are only volunteers and contract soldiers fighting.

First time hearing it. As in 2024, in media was mentioned that they will be till end of so called Special Military Operation. Doubt that much has changed, as zigger side suffers chronic lack of troops.

>The only reason why there might be a mobilization is if Putin decides to end the war with a few major offensives rather than slowly and surely killing Ukrainians.

Time is working against ziggers. As time is going on, manufacturing in Europe gets increased. In Lithuania they started to build 155mm artillery munitions plant. In Latvia it will be started in summer. Germany expanding their munitions plant.
Russia also is expanding manufacturing though.
So assumption that in say May, that there will be some significant draft, it holds some ground. Because of low unemployment in Russia (like 2%), it will do some effect on economy. Which can be mitigated by attracting indian workers. It has became harder to attract tajiks, because of that russian rubble unpredictability. Will it hold some value in 6 months? Who knows. But with indians, part of that payments can be done in indian rupees. And Russia have A LOT of them. HUUGE stockpile.
Question remains, how much ACTUALLY will arrive. Kremlin wants 800k. Will there be say 200k?
