It's impressive how well European countries speak English as a second language cause if you come to America hardly anyone knows how to speak another European language

To be fair English is pretty easy in a lot of ways, it's hard to be perfect with certain grammar and pronunciation is completely nonsensical in some ways but English is so prevalent in media and it's simplistic in many ways, it doesn't have the crazy grammar rules many other European languages have.
It is still impressive though and I do agree Americans should try to learn more languages
