You send a text, it goes to the nearest other node it can find, those nodes repeat the text to all the other nodes near them, that continues across nodes until it gets wherever it's supposed to go.I don't think there's an upper limit on how far it can go, but it can only go as far as you have nodes. So if you have an area you want comms in, you just need nodes all across it.They can live off solar power too.
