Serbian Orthodox Church priest arrested in Montenegro, charged with sexual abuse of minorsThe Montenegrin police today arrested 48-year-old B. Ć., who is suspected of sexually abusing two minors, and the media in that country state that he is a priest of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Montenegro.In the press release of the Police Administration of Montenegro, it is stated that after the hearing, the suspect was detained for up to 72 hours."Officials of the Regional Security Center 'Centar', Cetinje Security Department, in coordination with the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Cetinje, detained a person suspected of sexual abuse to the detriment of two minors. B. Ć. (48) is suspected of this crime," the Montenegrin Police Administration said in a statement.The application was submitted by the ex-wifeAlthough this is not stated in the official statement of the police, some Montenegrin media announced that B. Ć. priest of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Montenegro and that the report against him was filed by his ex-wife N. K.Montenegrin Portal Analitika states that it had access to the report in which N.K. claims that her ex-husband sexually harassed their two minor children, and points out that the evidence includes an audio recording of a conversation with the children and a drawing by one of the children.That Montenegrin media also writes that in the application to the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Cetinje, submitted by N. K., it is stated that she was married to B. Ć. until 2019, when, as she claims, she "ran away with the children because of the mental and physical violence he inflicted on her".
