How do we stop the Rwanda-backed M23 rebel group from taking over the Democratic Republic of the Congo? They now control most of the mineral-rich areas around the Great Lakes.

do not violate the prime directive
>>
you actually want to talk about politics? Do you know where you are?
>>
Why, you make a big show of a peace agreement at the White house with the American president, proclaim the war over sign a deal for the mineral development rights with American companies, then walk away as the fighting continues and the mines you tried to buy are overrun and do nothing about it.

If you're Trump, that is.
>>
Why would you want to? Rwanda is one of the least corrupt and best run countries on that continent.
Doctor Congo is one of the worst.

There was no peace deal, there was never a peace deal. The fighting never stopped, the offensives continued that were planned before and during the "peace" deal. The Trump regimes saw Congo was weak, offered them vague promises in return for concrete offers of the mineral rights in Congo, then when the fighting continued and congo continued to lose offered nothing but thoughts and prayers. But you can bet they'll be working hard to enforce those economic agreements to strip the congo for US companies. If the mines themeselves aren't in M23 hands soon enough.

I remember that Trump boasted about it instantly how he's a peacemaker even after the next city was conquered. wouldn't be surprised if he was talked into it for the perceived nobel peace prize chances
