Im curious generally about how UK culture is changing as a result of war economies slowly leaving the generational memory of its people. Seemingly all of British culture is ingrained with customs and traditions that stem from war economies (food, queing, dress, modest property ownership, deterrence to government decision-making, suspension of civil rights). World War II is leaving living memory, and outside of asymmetrical island and desert skirmishes, the British people will not have lived in war times. Is British culture changing alongside?The browning of the UK im sure has an impact here, but Im curious specifically about how a people who have socially arranged and managed themselves to support war efforts for hundreds of years may be changing now that war is not there.
