If America does actually invade Venezuela, they will surely be quick to dispose of the nation's conventional military but much likely be forced to endure a longer campaign against an unconventional guerriloa foe in the event of an occupation, much like what happened in Iraq. This unconventional fighting force will be initially assembled by the semi-conventional bolivarian militia of venezuela (pic related), which responds to the ruling party and is made by their most devoted followers, they are extremely loyal to Maduro. Without proper command and control this semi-conventional force will perish in battle agaisnt the invading US force and the survivors will attempt to reorganize as a truly guerrila force. The US campaign against the conventional and semi-conventional armies of Venezuela will also likely result in a major ammount of colaterals and civilian displacement, as US military campaigns usually do, these colaterals will funnel those related to the victims or in general unsatisfied with the immediate results of the invasion straight into the hands of the insurgency, regardless to their opinion about the toppled Maduro regime (again much like what happened in Iraq)Now, if things do turn out as I believe they'll do, do you think the US is politically prepared to endure another long expeditionary war against insurgents? Or will it eventually pullout, like in Vietnam and Afghanistan?
