i always text or email a Merry Christmas to friends and family on Christmas morning.this year I decided to let them do it.no one did.what did they mean by this?

The ideal is 20 total people you know that includes family, friends, acquaintances and enemies. Modern society is so broken by Rat-Park esque decay that most people just stop trying to talk to anyone outside of those they interact with on a daily basis. That number is already too high for the human brain to properly interact with so it's normal for them to just ignore everyone outside their immediate vicinity

>>524368875im sorry i know that feeling sucks. on the positive side it keans you are proba ly the glue in your social group and can pretty much dictate who gets included and excluded and there is a lot of power and agency in that. some people just talk to people who take the energy to talk to them and dont have option or will to maintain friendships
