https://www.nbcboston.com/news/local/3-new-england-governors-demand-briefing-on-power-project-risks/3867613/Four different Governors wrote a letter calling out the Trump Administration for trying to hold up wind energy projects which had long ago been approved based upon the insinuation that it would "interfere with RADAR."It's actually a rather cutting letter. Well played.
>>524371045because wind power is the most useless one of all because you can't predict when the wind blows - what kind of power grid do you design for that? Giant battery farms? That's not cost effective and it's utterly useless except for large population centers which TYPICALLY DON"T HAVE SPACE FOR THEM NEAR THE CITY DUE TO SUBURBSthere's only two places in the country they even work which is just outside portland, OR and in nebraska and iowa just outside the cities - the ones in california are wasteful and don't make money without state subsidy
>>524372144oh, and also, the environmentalists in portland are actively trying to get the ones there taken down because it interferes with the birds and ruins the scenery - so good luck
>>524372144I don't know if you know this but most rural areas with wind turbines installed aren't even connected to the electrical grid of those turbines. They usually send the electricity to the bigger cities of whatever state they're in.
