You can’t expect that your parents would help you. But you can learn from it and help your child if you want one. You’re still young. My parents taught me absolutely nothing about how to live in the real world. My parents were on and off and never really got around to it. I floundered and fucked up for years until I met my wife and her family. Now I’ve learned that my parents are incompetent retards and am having to relearn how to be an adult. My goal is to now be able to put my kids in a position to be successful, unlike what my boomer parents did for me. And I know people hate this, but I watch the weekly press conferences for my local football club. They talk a lot about making the most of every repetition they get, staying focused in the here, working hard as a teammate. Etc. Parents fuck their kids up, but you can make your life better. Go to your local trade school or welding company and tell them you want to learn. You can make great money and travel the world with less than a year to get employed. Or something like that. Don’t let your parents ineptitude decide your fate!!

i grew up from a divorced family and my mom was an abusive alcoholic. only solution i found back in the late 2000s when i was just out of high school was to jet and never look back. she would beg me to move back in but i knew it was going to be the same drink bullshit like being woken up at 3am and getting accused I stole something. my best adobe us to just get the fuck away no matter the cost.

Some parents think its funny to do this, or fuck with their kids as a fun game. Then they turn 20, and they realize they might have to deal with this for the rest of their lives and go onto tell everyone "how scared they are" of them.

Im now excommunicated from my family because I spoke out about abuse instead of keeping quiet, and the two people I named are running around telling everyone how scared of me they are, and wanting advance notice of when I come to town just so they can let everyone around them know how scared they are to go outside.

I think it should be okay to hit people with hammers for not paying you, and that people who use the false promise of an apprenticeship should be thrown down stair holes.

I no longer wish to pursue a redseal and want out of my trade after 10+y and having to eat a diet of bootstraps, finally saved up enough to go to school only to find out what I wanted to do is now, in clown world is 90% giving narcan to drug addicts.

Also only 19% of apprentices that are able to apprentice actually finish it, I've had it held out as a carrot a few times, and lolmao at ever being taken seriously if you dont have a car and a way to work, you can be a laborer with no hope of advancing and never making enough money to afford a car, but nobody's going to apprentice you.

And they dont tell you that.
