After making a fortune in oil, they have returned into medicine, by creating the modern american healthcare system. They bribed every medical university, introduced licensing system, private hospitals, etc. Prior to that hospitals were mostly funded by charity. Rockfellers were too bug for the government to take on them. While they didin't manage to grab europe before the universal healthcare was introduced there. Now they slowly try to privatize it and are quite successful in that.
