The U.S. is shitty for most citizens. The haves are so vastly wealthier than the 99% rabble that it skews all our statistics into looking 'good'. It's not true like 20% of people in the U.S. live good and the other 80% are basically modern day slaves with no economic advancement what so ever. It worked before as at least we had good schools, clean areas, etc, and manufacturing jobs that provided some mobility. All of that is now gone and we continue to get browner and everything is dumbed down massively. Kids can't even read anymore at 3rd/4th grade levels and are graduating high school because we just pass them along as admitting there's an issue would be too much of a societal shock. Within another generation China is going to be the defacto world power
