Right now, my working theory is that multiple bug drones were used to kill CK. The first drone moves from near CKs handheld mic onto CKs neck. CK does appear to react to this in some way. The second drone behind him launches a small object that lands on CKs head, it then "detonates" which pulls CK's microphone or necklace into a ball around itself (this "detonation/pull" may have also shocked/stunned CK), and then drives that wirey object through CKs neck to create the initial puncture wound. We later see a bug drone fly out of his neck which opens up a second stream of blood that's much heavier than the first. I can see the drone that came out of his neck hover, change directions and move up and down indicating it is absolutely not some object that was organically on Charlie's body prior to the attack.
