Platinums monthly candlestick for December 2025 is looking fkn wild, its the most explosive bullish candle on platinum in history, with prices surging over 50% in the month alone (from around $1,6k-$1,7k early December to highs above $2,5k by December 26).

Robust buying from China for industrial uses caused it. The launch of platinum futures on the Guangzhou Futures Exchange in late 2025 boosted prices. With gold and silver smashing records of all times amid geopolitical tensions, fear of collapse of global financial system/economy, US dollar weakness, investors are rotating into platinum as a "cheaper" alternative in the complex. ETF inflows and bar/coin demand are up sharply.

All other metals are racing up: gold, silver, palladium, copper.

Heavy reliance on South African/Russian supply (both disrupted) and Chinese processing/trading creates geopolitical leverage vs West.

Is this good or bad? Explain in Minecraft terms.
>>
>>524425235
Good for the rich, bad for the poor, as usual xD
>>
Starting January 1, China will require government licenses to export silver, BTW xD

If we talk about platinum & palladium, Russia and China are biggest hoarders, maybe also for needs of weapon production? Green energy and de-dollarization are now competing for the same scarce resources.

Injecting billions of "useless farters" with slow-killing gene therapies was mostly done to stop and reverse non-renewable resource depletion such as these metals because they are needed for AI, space and green energy xD

Physical platinum isn't that common and not as easy to sell as silver.

Shalom, jew here. We are being advised by the financial jews to start selling our stocks in january leading up to an eventual dump when we get the jew call expected around mid to late january. Physical commodities are expected to moon while paper commodities are going to be extremely volatile. Good for some financial opportunities, bad for the economy and subsequently societal life.

Platinum is an industrial metal. 90% of demand is industrial. Global production is highly concentrated: South Africa 75%, and Russia 20%. It is crucial for weapon production. During WWII, the US declared platinum a strategic metal and banned its use in jewelry to prioritize munitions, aircraft parts and explosives production. Today platinum is also needed for catalytic converters (autos), hydrogen fuel cells (green energy), crucial chemicals and electronics.

Prefer to get the heavier stuff without the premium. But the pretty pictures on them have collector value.

Platinum coins are idiotic choice as value-keepers compared to gold: vastly lower liquidity (harder to sell quickly without big losses), wider buy/sell spreads and higher premiums (often 20%+ round-trip costs vs golds 3-5%), incomparably smaller dealer network etc. Platinum behaves more like an industrial commodity prone to volatility and slumps. Also higher theft risk (dense, high value in small volume), very costly secure storage/insurance needs, potential authentication issues (often mistaken for cheaper metals like silver), and risk of damage from improper handling or materials (for example PVC).

Platinum is horded only by industry desu xD

jews are not bad.

It looks like most of it goes to waste for useless tech, trinkets, and now green energy bullshit, as well as enabling the third world.

And hydrogen is nonsense. But that's not on topic.

40% is still used in automotive, mostly for catalytic converters. 20% in jewelry, 20% in industrial/chemical processes (catalysts for petrochemicals, glass production, etc), 15% in electronics, medical industry, hydrogen fuel cells and petroleum production. Around 2% in weapon production, mainly aircraft engines, infrared suppression on military vehicles, high-temperature components, heat-resistant missile nose cones, infrared signature suppression on vehicles (evading heat-seekers) etc.

Not only platinum price goes to heaven now. Prices of basically all metals reach ATH right now. We are probably on the edge of greatest financial/economical crash in history of humankind.
>>
>>524425201
Keep an eye on your catalytic converters
>>
>>524429465
what sort of prices do you reckon?

Are you fkn retarded? I wrote everything in my initial post.

>>524429515
The UK is global center of catalytic converters theft. You had like 100k cases in 2020/2022 alone. Here in Bolanda this kind of crime became more noticeable too, especially since Ukrainian influx. Now, after this massive price surge, the theft cases might be counted in millions xD
>>
>>524432035
BTW, catalytic converters contain not only platinum, but also palladium and rhodium. They are stolen for all these three precious metals whose prices are surging now.
>>
>>524432245
newer ones contain alluminum alloys. That's why you guys only steal the old cars catalytic converters
>>
>>524432704
>newer ones contain alluminum alloys

Thats bullshit. PGMs are not replaced with aluminum because it is not a substitute, kek.
>>
>>524432245
>palladium and rhodium
The particulate matter of both of these metals is as toxic as fuck.
Last thing you should be doing is storing it in your house.
>>
>>524433734
To get poisoned by palladium or rhodium from a stolen catalytic converter, you would need to grind or crush it into fine dust and breathe in a lot of that dust repeatedly. Risk lasts only during dust creation and inhalation. Storing and demounting stolen catalytic converters is safe for health. Thieves sell them to scrap dealers and they sell it to recyclers who crush/grind the honeycomb core into powder and send to refineries for chemical extraction of precious metals. It is done in professional way with using specialized machinery, with safety standards.

money is dirt cheap right now, so gambling addicts are willing to pump absolutely everything that might potentially yield some profits, no matter how high the risk - because even if 9 of those speculations go tits up, just one actually paying off is enough.
so they just start to intentionally cause shortages by stacking resources.

Gold and silver are so neutral and safe you can keep them in your arsehole.
Just like the smugglers in Asia do.
Not that I’m saying you SHOULD shove PMs into your arse, I’m simply saying you safely CAN

Wow...it's almost like there is collusion going on in the markets.
But it can't be that, no. The market would never allow such things to occur.

Most of you metal retards are confused. China is squeezing the rare earth market which also helps both them and Russia since Oil is dropping like a stone.
