Hollywood in shambleshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aM-TuFkUXEA
>>524429227Nolan is such a shitty director. His movies truly suck ass.
>>524429227is Matt Damon going to make that face the entire movie? I mean dude you have lived in Homeric Greece for so long, why are you so surprised to see these creatures. Nolan has no clue.
>>524429227Zul-Qarnayn bros we're so back
NoBoring You didn't put any effort in to this or you are the most shallow boring motherfucker imaginable
Did the greeks wear those roman boots oom hats or is it fake and gay?
>>524429579Broom*
>>524429227thats a minoan armor
Its not even the costumes, its just, you have a device that relates literally every genre every emotion, and niggers prompt it to make a clip about, the odysee... Like a Hollywood copy. Shallow as fuck GenX can't into propaganda
>>524429639>thats a minoan armorand you think the minoans lived on that island with no influence on/from others?
>>524429579Not the Roman boots. But they did have horsehair crests.
>>524429639It is based on the sender's panoply, which was found in the Argolis, on the mainland of Hellas.
>>524429974Fucking auto-correct. The dendra panoply.
>>524429227A real life bronze age gear looks more cool than those 3D printed batman outfits
>>524429639here, have some reconstructions based on the orginal descriptions from Illiad:https://www.salimbeti.com/micenei/armour5.htmhttps://www.salimbeti.com/micenei/shields4.htmhttps://www.salimbeti.com/micenei/helmets4.htm
>>524430076Especially the use of colours. Everything being drab and monotone is complete ass. I'm here watching Soviet movies from the 1960s and Chinese movies because at least the have colour.
>>524429227Their helmets were made with boar tusks.
>>524429831i made even a mistake and is an mycean armor.but at that time, armor design was very territorial, the didnt have industrial manufacturing>>524429974doesnt mean anythingheavy armor is always custom made>>524430130>The first element that we have to consider about Agamemnon's armour is that it comes from Cyprus as a gift from Kinyras.ok
>>524430499>armor design was very territorialbut in what ways? for example:the mohawk is an american indian hair-style that was also used by the greeks (the plume of the helmet).its just imitating a razor back hog (along with the ivoy tusk)there are historical examples all over of similar things.
The whole point of breast plates were that they rested on the hips, basically weightless. They had to be tight fitting to do this and had to be made for the individual.
>>524430783because heavy armor is very expensive and only the richest could afford one, it was made over months with several test fittings.you could easily distinguish the blacksmiths at that time.Their knowledge was largely self-taught, and only that knowledge was passed on as secret knowledge in the forge.they armor they were reconstructing was a gift to a king, its probably a ritual armor set not for fighting.in the medieval period, kings always had several sets of parade armor
>>524429227should have gone with something in the middle, but he went full batman like the nigger that he is, fuck tenet
>>524429227>accurate>Persian armor on greeks
>>524430499Nice cherrypick. What do you want to prove:>Agammenmnon armor was a gift from Cyprus, the exact description that comes from Illiad matches the historical bronze age artifacts found in the region, therefore that means nothing and equally well Greek soldiers from Illiad could wear Batman's armour or whatever. Agammennon's armor in Iliad:https://en.wikisource.org/wiki/The_Iliad_of_Homer_(Buckley)/BOOK_THE_ELEVENTH
>>524430950of course, none of this is disbuted.it was always cope of resources that some armies fought without armor were 'brave'.but all this aside. every single armor piece from around the world calls upon imitating animals (boars/horses/bears/wolves). you state the minoan armor was a ritualistic set, maybe. horns on the helmet aren't really practical, but is the plume on a helmet? no.basically, you can't just call it 'parade/ritual' armor because its not practical.
>>524429227I just dont care, the real armour looks gay.
>>524431059>this fictional story is the proof of real armorkek, yes and harry potter described magic artifacts>>524431078animals and other decorations were in dozens of cultureseven kangz used plumes
>>524429227i don't care about the amouri'm more disgusted by the shitskins, Tom Holland, and Matt Damon casted
>>524431078Yeah, Teutonic Knights were infamous for their elaborate helmet ornamentation.Samurai helmet crests also get very elaborate; but they are also pinned loosely to the helmet, and designed to shatter if struck, leaving the actual helmet underneath intact.Oh and north-Western native Americans like the Tlingit would wear elaborate wooden helmets carved like birds and bears, as part of this whole "wooden armour" thing they had going on.
>>524431646>Tlingit would wear elaborate wooden helmets carved like birds and bears, as part of this whole "wooden armour" thing they had going on.thanks for sharing, first i've heard of these people. however, even for stone age people that provides very little protection.
>>524429227>still cons00ming the sloppywood slopngmi
>>524429227>Don't understand the point of the movie so hard you go the opposite direction
>>524431177And so does short shorts to you because you’re a repressed faggot who also hates himself and his image
