People.that take these should be forced to forfeit rights, such as, no guns, no positions of power, suspended drivers license, no voting, job restrictions for positions like nursing/doctors, police, etc. I'd be willing to bet a significant cause of many accidents are cause by people on SSRIs. Most shooters are on them. They lower your compassion and diminish anxiety which is a crucial function to regulate your actions and decision making. Putting yourself on these should lower you to a second class citizen.
I took them because I had crippling anxiety, my emotions are numb now and cumming doesn't feel as good but I couldn't really function before.

Psych hospital employee here. SSRI’s don’t do much of anything at all. They can only make a marginal difference, and unless you’re in a seriously desperate state (like catatonic) you’re not likely to appreciate the difference it can make. As far as treating depression and anxiety go, I can’t really recommend you take them. There are really disruptive side effects, like impacts to libido, and getting off of them can feel worse than the issue that got you on them in the first place. Therapy is proven to be a better go-to when it comes to addressing these issues. Other anti-depressants like SNRI’s and TCA’s are worse, and have been generally replaced by SSRI’s because they have fewer side effects. Their efficacy at treating depression and anxiety are about the same as SSRI’s. The results from SSRI’s are subtle improvements to depressive/anxious symptoms, but these sorts of improvements won’t be very noticeable if there are changes to your environment and how you deal with that environment. For example, if you hate the fact you will never own a home and you become depressed, getting on an SSRI won’t make you feel better because it doesn’t change anything about your situation. If you focus on learning how to cope within that situation, the SSRI may help you to a certain extent. It is still extremely marginal, and, in my opinion, the costs outweigh the benefits.tl;dr: SSRI’s aren’t evil, but they aren’t great either. Stop spreading bullshit and go to therapy.
