Oldfags will remember that things in the pasted used to last FOREVER. Your grandma's fridge? That old fucking car that refused to die no matter what. Your clothes that are still as new since high school... That era ended the moment normies accepted Digital Ownership of video games like Steam, forfeited physical copies of video games in favor of PS Plus and Streamed their movies from Netflix. IT'S OVER.

Try getting new clothes now. They will get absolutely rekt after 3 washes.. Reputable Western brands like Nike? Try getting shoes from them. Won't last a month. Same with electronics, furniture, all that crap...

In a few years from now they will just give you the option to rent everything instead. Why buy new clothes when they get destroyed after 3 washes right? That would be a scam. Renting them is a better option..

There's no "not my problem" solution out of what's coming. No individualistic way out of the dystopia. You will either collectivize and organize up or be isolated and crushed

Literally not my problem. I can afford to buy durable quality like the LIEBHERR fridge-freezer that I got for my vacation home this year.
Or the Makita SDS Plus 26mm, 800W, Rotary Hammer. In a beautiful and sturdy aluminum case. I LOVE HEAVY DUTY QUALITY!
>>
>>524455529
Or you can just do like our grandparents and their parents did. Find quality fabric and make your own clothes at home. It's honestly really not that hard either.

Nike's for me usually lasted a few years, with way below average use, but their nose, or soles usually gave up eventually, but could get the same type, and be ok for a while. The type I used to buy was discontinued, the replacement one got more expensive, I got one as a gift, but it fucking squeaks on every fucking step. There is air trapped inside it somewhere, between the foam sole, and the rubber layer on that, becuase manufacturers were probably cheap on glue, or just lower than average quality slave labor. This shit shoe was made in Indonesia, the prior ones were made in India, and even had way earlier versions of that shoe from Vietnam. So something that even filthy pajeets could not fuck up, indonesians managed to do so. Also the foam is in lower quailty, the design is shit. Nike was always kind of shit brand, that people only chose for larger shoe sizes, but wasn't this shit.

The Makita was ~€190.

The aluminum case alone would cost €40.
They started to sell their tools in plastic cases but I prefer the aluminum qt and rather pay premium.

Based. I just bought a pair of high-end headphones with a 10 year warranty. There are still quality items out there, you just need to spend the extra $$$ on it. People like OP buy bottom shelf stuff and cry when they get exactly what they paid for.

I have one pair of pants that I wear every day. I don't wash them and I don't bathe. I've been wearing these pants since summer 2016. They're BDU fatigues from the Army-Navy Surplus store.

Good job, I hope the Greek says thank you. You should make a condition that you'll only get him new shoes if he agrees to buy the right size this time.

Yes, kek. Or worse have the compulsion where they buy broken things and never fix them.

You fags don't understand that it's happening in "high end" stuff now too. It was always the case that most high end stuff was just slightly fancier versions of mass-produced shit, but now lots of high end stuff is just the regular old stuff with a fancy label.
>$10 shoes are being sold for $500
>customers think they're buying quality
No, you just paid hundreds extra for a few more stitches and slightly higher thread count
>>
>>524460011
In Capitalism there is no quality because everything that's reliable or lasts is lost money to those who want to sell.
>>
>buying things
You niggers are still playing the game

Evaluate what you buy. I have 30y old Nike sweatpants, and 20y denim pants that still fit me. It is not my fault you cannot evaluate quality and endurance over quick fashion brands. The long exiting clothes (for example) exist today still.

>PLANNED OBSOLECENCE
What did you gormless goy-cattle 'think' (((globalism))) -- literally, the razing of borders to lower global standards and living conditions to something resembling the under-developing and Third Worlds to which the First World was heretofore quarantined from -- if not creating an economic environment wherein the capitalist infinite grown Ponzi pyramid could continue to be built up into limitless space...?

In a finite world, the longer a product lasts, the closer capitalism comes to dissolution. Conversely, if products can be continuously built and destroyed, the longer the unsustainable, greed-based capitalist model can be propped up. The economic model that built the civilised world -- such as the Germans' fastidious attention to quality, and Ford's notion of workers affording the products which they build -- was never a long-term proposition; much less, one that could sustain when exposed to the billion hordes of the non-European world. #PlannedObsolescence is the handbrake for the rollick of capitalism, on the downwards slope towards global, economic dissolution.

>implying that the same quality and standards established for a market of <500M, could be applied to logarithmically increasing billions
>suggesting that the work ethics and sensibilities or Europeans would be mirrored by cultures which, without the First World, could not extricate themselves from the Stone Age
>intimating that the products coming from slave mills in Timbuktu could pass the regulatory and standards frameworks of the First World
