Those competing farm hands aren't going to be thinking that way when their very survival is suddenly called into question. When automation is put into the equation, the very economic theory that you swear by demands that these workers will temporarily unemployed and needing to adapt to new conditions. They will find themselves completely unemployable and put into a situation where they either choose to collectivize out of sheer necessity and survival instinct or they will simply perish.

One other thing: We are already witnessing the end game of this economic theory. The wealth that the "corporation" generates is now having comically disproportionate amounts of that wealth go to the top of the corporation, while the amount that workers get has naturally been substantially reduced.The proportional amount of wealth generated by his labor that a factory worker received in 1950 is higher by orders of magnitude than what that same factory worker would receive in 2025.The value of labor that common people are able to do has been reduced to an unsustainable level and it is not ever going to go back to 1950 levels.
