>>524476879It was until corporations started gambling with houses. I was making 60k and could afford the standard house in my bumfuck area for 300k. Now those houses are 600-900k and jobs still pay 60k tops. It's simply not possible to make it on an average salary anymore, 100k is the new 50k and still is hard to make it on. The rich are making way too much shekels off of gambling with our homes and importing foreigners, it's not going to change until we have a French style revolution.

You're thinking about it wrong.It CAN be easy to make it financially, yes, but the problem we are facing is that every level of our people are forced to compete with the best from every other country.Like imagine you have 100 IQ but all of the good jobs are taken by 120 IQ indians and asians. That's what is happening. In the past they would have trained 100 IQ you to do the job. Now they are outsourcing all they can too. Have you seen the hotel staff that are webcam feeds from india? That's another job gone. So it's becoming harder to make it for your average person. You were born here and they give away your jobs. Your parents have been paying taxes for generations and they let these people have the good jobs.

Its not difficult to survive and have a great life anywhere in the west if you actually manage to plan your finances. I know many Americans and they are in their 30s like me and own houses and several cars and have zero problems. Some of them live in Phoenix, LA, Vegas, areas around LA, Riverside etc, and further south and north. But yeah, its gonna get hard to afford a $3m home in CA if you work at Wendys or In and Out.
