If a market has a bunch of different businesses not working together, then we will get cheap goods. If a market has a few businesses working together to keep prices high, then we won't get cheap goods.That being said, there will be nothing stopping businesses from embracing expansion of what they're capable of. If ASUS decided next business day that they wanted to expand their operations into RAM, then with robots it will make their expansion 50% simpler than what it would be with human workers. More businesses will have more freedom to do whatever they want and go into whatever operations that they want, and that should lower the prices of goods as businesses become more comfortable to do whatever they want with the technology that's available.

If a person can't get work, and the machine does everything instead, then the person who owns the machine will have no reason to pay the other person, nor value their existence in any meaningful way. Society breaks down as machine build things for the elites that own them, and everyone else gets the scraps. We're all already seeing this play out.Money will transition to production-credits which are not based on productive outputs since productive outputs become post-abundant, and instead the bottleneck is energy resources and raw materials. In relation to how much a normal, average person can 'earn', the prices of things will actually go up, as the incentives of the elite will transition from accumulating wealth to accumulating productive capital and energy capital. If you've watched or read The Expanse, and seen how the people on earth live on the streets in tents eating nutrient slop; that's where we're headed. The cost of real things in relation to how much your average person has to spend will skyrocket. The only thing that has kept this in check up until now is that elites have required people to work to produce their wealth for them. Once that goes, everything you think you know about economics goes with it.

Sure, having a robot that can paint the tip of dildoes for 24 hours a day with the only costs being materials and maintenance sounds great, but that robot will a million bajillion dollars per unit and need humans to maintain and program the robots at great cost due to the specialized training required. And that's before you take into account the life of the dildobot and cost to set it up to do some other task if need be. Or you can pay a human minimum wage and save a shit load of money.
