Taiwan does not have enough supply to run long and does not have enough storage to be able to stockpile enough to last more than 6 months. If China stopped shipping these resources to Taiwan, then Taiwan could not make the electronics everyone craves, and the whole world would crash fast.Luckily Samsung has been quietly working on their own lithography equipment and techniques and plans to have a way around needing Taiwan soon.

Guangzhou has everything for hair dryers, the molding facilities for the outer cases, the electric motor facilities, the element winding facilities, and the assembly facilities all within a bike ride away from each other. This means anyone wanting to make a hair dryer can go to that one town, and get their cases molded, their windings done, and their motors spec't and assembled all basically under one roof. This makes the manufacturing so much faster and cheaper.NOBODY can compare to that and China does EVERYTHING like that. Steel manufacturing has its own city. Shoes have their own city. TVs have their own city. Ect ect ect.
