There's a scene in Mike Nolan's Long Weekend where they're sitting outside and rolling up a joint while watching the stars, and the stars start blinking and one goes back and forth and they're freaking out about UFOs, and then there's this huge white flash the blinds them. It's treated as an offhand thing, but I was explaining this exact scene to a friend when I felt "this is about to happen in real life" for no real reason I could discern, and I told him it was going to happen in real life in a few minutes. Sure enough, stars started blinking then a meteorite fucking exploded in the sky above us and lit up the area like daylight. This was out in the desert of Arizona. What could have POSSIBLY been any point to that? Why are there seemingly these paths to the future we intuit in odd ways that don't really seem to mean anything? Sometimes it goes on way too far off for it to be something you're subconsciously picking up on. I've had no choice but to decide we're probably in a book or something dumb like that.
