His goal was to steal money. He is exceptionally successful in reaching his goals. What he didn't take into account, is that all of nato can't provide enough weapons to defeat russia. Also he didn't consider the fact, that if he agrees to peace, he is a dead man, and if he continues to fight, hebis also a dead man.
