Welp, single mom 3 kids 2 different dads never married gets welfare all year. At tax time the male that has a job and has been living there not counted as household claims the 3 kids after the govt took care of them all year and he gets 6 to 9k in refund due to EIC. The working male doesn't pay for food, healthcare, usually not even rent or electric due to vouchers. Making out like a bandit. Another good one is warehouse workers no kids at all not even in a relationship but single welfare moms not filing allow them to claim their minor children as dependents and the mom gets anywhere from 500 to 1k cash while the worker keeps the rest of the fat refund. That one's been going on forever.
