The map is an Indian nationalist LARP not a map of South Asia. Tibetans, Bhutanese, and Burmese don't look like Indians at all, and Afghanistan is more Persianate/Central Asian than South Asian, though there are ethnic groups split by the Pakistani border and there's been plenty of cultural influence in both directions.
