The current Chinese exercise around Taiwan is the largest that it has ever been compared to previous exercises.This could be a front, like what Russia did prior to invading Ukraine, to prepare for an actual long lasting blockade around Taiwan which China would need if they were serious about retaking the island.Also, American naval and air assets are currently being used in Venezuela, which gives China the best opportunity right now to launch an invasion of Taiwan.
