When people in the Middle East don't like one king or dictator, they only seek to replace him with another king or dictator of their choice. They aren't demanding that the entire ruling class is dismantled. For example, when Iranians want rid of one dictator they want another dictator to replace him. When Iraqi's don't like Saddam they have another guy lined up they want instead. Egyptians who want rid of Sisi don't want to replace the entire rulership of the country, they just want another better guy in the same role, and so forth. In other words, people in the Middle East want a strongman after another strongman after another strongman, they aren't interested in "burning the whole lot down" like Westerners who don't trust any leader at all.For Westerners, no solution can come from replacing one President or PM with another since ALL of them are viewed as corrupt, but for MENA's it's normal routine to replace one dictator with another and hope for the best.

Women don't vote there. If you remove women from politics, none of the people in the west, that are currently in charge, would be even close to entering a parliament.
