This shouldn’t even be on Wikipedia. I’m just learning this but did you know Hitler never used the word Nazi? No German ever called themselves a Nazi. No ally force ever used the word Nazi. It was a made up perjorative that political opponents adopted after the war. So all these movies and shows were the nazis call themselves Nazis is fake. It would be like the communist party calling themselves commies. They never told us this in all the history books or history classes in school. Makes you wonder what else they made up about WW2.

Yeah, it's a good counter to the n-word argument, how come it's okay to label some conversants as nazis, but labeling others as niggers is suddenly not allowed?

Of course, this argument works only on those who have at least some intellectual integrity to them, of which the establishment has none, so it's all futile.

We live in a post truth environment, that's why you post this garbage on 4chan, let me guess, they banned you somewhere already for making factually correct statements, no?

Nazi is a term they came up with when it was all getting started because country hicks named Ignatz would be national socialists. So Nazi was a cute nick name you would call Ignatz. Further Ignatz was originally Ignatius which was Latin.

Neither Nazi nor Germany are made up words. Several words together is a "term" or a "phrase" you stinking poo-finger-typing third-world ESL retard. You don't even speak the language.

It's just a word. I don't mind being called a Nazi, and it's easier just to say
>Yeah. I'm a Nazi.
>>
They used the word Nazi back then

It is not uncommon for nations and empires to be named or re-named after they fall.
"Byzantine Empire" is a good example. The people called themselves Romans and "Byzantine" only appears in history books that came much later after it was gone, named for the city of byzantium that was later renamed "Constantinople".

"Nazi germany" is a post-war term in the same way that "victorian era" is a mostly an early 20th century concept that accurate describes a specific era in the countries history.
