Yeah OP I'm past the "movies are fun and exciting" hump, it's youtube or something like that - you can get the same excitement from a discord video of someone saying NIGGER with a funny hat on, so what good is a movie?Overall my attention span has grown massively actually, so now I sit down and follow the entire plot of a movie and then ask>OK, so what next? That was 2 hours?And it's never as satisfying as something like a book.So basically for all short entertainment you have the internet, you have books for long entertainment, what actual good are movies? They're just something to watch in a social setting, I can't socially read.For my free time I've just started watching videos in foreign languages because it's the only thing that presents new stimuli constantly.
