Russians have many different words for 'lie'. This is the kind of lie to assert dominance. The only purpose of this lie was for Trump to comment on it as if it is true, while knowing it is a lie. Unironically it is a humiliation ritual to humiliate Trump, America and the West and to show that Trump is Putin's asset.
