Right wing chuds want it subconsciously
Democrats want it
Far left people want the woman president
Neocons will compromise with it

Who loses? I bet gretchen whitmer actually does a much better job at the border and economy than trump ever could because she is competent in Michigan. Detroit is up and coming now.
>>

Neoliberals want open borders. Fuck off you retarded shill.
>>
>>524620842
i want to believe. but we have been betrayed, so it's difficult.
>>
>>524620906
No they don't. Obama deported more than any other president.

Biden was asleep at the wheel. His handlers were more worried about their own chances at power. Hillary probably wouldve done a better job at the border than trump.

Before trump, the average normie was against illegal immigration. After trump, people started supporting illegal immigration from the left.

Before trump, people were on the fence about gay marriage. After trump, people are pro lgbt and republicans are hoping to win the "normal gay guy vote".

Trump has made everyone more crazy. we need a neoliberal leader. not a corpse like biden. not a retard like newsom or kamala.

You should believe.
Obama had many faults. But let's all be honest. He was the best president of our lifetimes.
the post recession to covid era was one of the peak eras of ALL time. I would argue 1994-2004 was Peak america and then 2009-2019

The GOP is a disaster again. It's already as bad as Bush's second term and it's not even a year of trump's second term.
>>
>>524621131
No. obama planted the seeds of betrayal. somalians came en masse under his term.

i no longer believe.
>>
>>524621112
Can you tell me why they want open borders?
It's def not white replacement garbage.

The idea democrats AND republicans are pro immigration is for lower wages and to support the GDP. It was always economical. However the data is showing we have reached the limit of productive immigration. This is why even democrats are reversing on such policies. you hear about it canada where they are closing their borders. The data is shows immigration has diminishing returns and they get that now. you see major platforms correct too on how hard they were on free speech.
>>
>>524621214
they came in mass under bush sr. and clinton.

this was before data around diminishing return of immigration was available. it was all experimental. i am seeing democrat think tanks admit this. I am seeing republican think tanks push for immigration because the agricultural world depends on it.
>>
I'm sure you had a great time under Obama, as a white millennial woman, openly mocking and betraying white men for black men.

That is what we call a "short" of value. White women and black men profited by shorting the massive value of white men under obama, which translated into a good time for them (at the expense of white men).

You only see this and not see that it was obama who planted these seeds of erosion into America.

I do not believe. I have been betrayed. Get this - im not even white.
>>
>>524621298
you lie so easily. it is very familiar, these sweet lies.

i don't hate you, do you know that? but i do not believe you. i cannot trust you.

It was obama.. that era, who drove good men like Vice President Vance into Usha's arms. but i know him, his true desire was for an emo cutie like the one in Death Cab for Cutie's music video.

>Obama deported more than any other president
They counted people turned away at official border crossings as a deportation, they were always phony stats. What those stats don't tell you is how many snuck in between ports of entry. All that matters is the foreign population grew every year under Obama, and for the first time in my lifetime the foreign population has finally gone down under Trump this year.
>>
>>524621377
ok buddy.
I don't even know if she's going to run or if the DNC will even choose her. I am just a chud. I have no reason to lie. I look at data a lot and I am looking at people in politics and am guessing who can probably do a good job making america the country it was when i was a kid and enjoyed.

We need a boring competent person that inspires. I don't see a single republican that can do this. kamala and pete and newsom can't. I would think maybe phil murphy (NJ gov) but he's old. We need someone a bit younger. Someone from a purple state.

>>524621338
You say obama failed, and i agree he did in his second term when he doubled down on racism
But I think his first term was good. I think he did try and then maybe his ego got to his head and he wanted to be a celebrity more than a leader.

As a millenial white woman, why would you not want someone like whitmer?
would you just not vote?
>>
>>524621664
we do not need to talk any longer.
>>
>>524621023
Open borders are to the biggest benefit to corporate interests, regardless of partisanship. Immigrants keep rent high, wages down, social strife, etc, all to the benefit of the (ownership class)
>>
>>524620842
Infinite migrants and gibs to Somalian "day care centers" will fix America how?
>>
>>524621602
foreign population going down under trump is like bounce back jobs from after covid under biden.

Biden's handlers knew there was a border crisis. They misread the pulse of the nation. They worried if they deviated they would be committing political suicide. Now they know. Likewise trump has failed to deliver.
He hasn't ended any wars, is funding ukraine, started new wars in Iran and Venezuela, increasing spending despite DOGE, and deported only 300k people.

It's all performative. border crossings are down which i will give trump credit for, but before biden the most crossings ever were under trump's term right before covid.

>>524621738
they don't benefit corporate interests. They only benefit mom and pop shops trying to lower cost of labor. big corporations want legal immigration and will probably look to just offshore. AI also is reducing the need for legal immigration.
In a way AI is going to stop the neocon/neolib reason for immigration.

You're working with outdated data/concepts. the world has changed a lot in the last 3 years. democrats found out in 2024. republicans will in 2026 and like the democrats, will not pivot correctly and lose 2028.

>>524620842
Fuck that cunt. I live in Michigan (I'm in Flint) and she hasn't done shit to make things better unless you're a minority. I've watched this city (and others) decline, year after year, while she and her ilk make empty fucking promises. Not to mention she's a gun-grabby piece of shit, which flies in the face of Michigan's hunting culture.

She's incapable of running this state, so there's absolutely no way in hell I'd want her to be POTUS.
>>
>>524621693
Why are you so glum. Why did you come to my thread to be a big stinker. I am a zoomer. I want to dream
>>
>>524621917
You say the city is declining year after year but this was before she was in office. maybe even decades before?

I am curious. What has she actually made worse for you besides the gun nonsense you are talking about?

I've heard from white american friends in ann arbor detroit area that a lot has improved. Roads, infrastructure, quality of life. I've seen michigan myself last year in those areas and it did seem nice. I was surprised that detroit wasn't as bad as i heard about. still rough but some life.

>Ann Arbor
Congratulations, you've seen one city that wasn't entirely fucked when manufacturing pulled out. Go further north, look at Flint, Burton, Pontiac, and the vast majority of Saginaw. Even Ypsilanti, which is only a stone's throw away from Ann Arbor, is rapidly degenerating and has been for a while now.

I also noticed you say "Detroit Area" instead of just Detroit. That makes me think you're talking about the places surrounding Detroit, which were always better than that shithole of a city.

You also dismiss her stance on guns as "nonsense," despite Michigan having a very strong hunting culture that crosses party lines. It's an important part of our identity for the majority of us, so for her to have these stances is a slap in the fucking face.

Her insistence on corporate subsidies (SOAR being the big one) consistently fail to bring in the jobs she claims they will and are a waste of taxpayer money. She also repealed right-to-work in Michigan (to make matters worse, she included a spending provision in it, which makes it nearly impossible to overturn, and she even said she wouldn't do something like this during her campaign), which means people are forced to join unions and pay union dues (do note, the unions in Michigan make most other ones look like saints) if they work for a company that has unionized employees. Her administration is also laughably opaque, and, despite claiming she'd open the governor's office and legislature up for FOIA requests, she has, once again, failed to deliver on even that simple process.

Her policies consistently drive employers out of the state, leading to fewer opportunities for people who want to stay. The only areas she gives an actual fuck about are Democrat strongholds because the people who live there don't have to deal with the fallout from her failed policies.

Continued.

Snyder, who was our governor from 2011-2018, actually managed to stage a comeback for the state. He brought unemployment down to under 4% from over 11%, and also managed to bring in a lot of well paying jobs for the state. So no, Whitmer doesn't get a pass due to this happening "decades ago." Granholm, who was the governor prior to Snyder, had to deal with the Great Recession, which hit pretty much everyone in the country. Snyder managed to bring us back to relevance and did a much better job than Whitmer.
