Profit rates in the consumer goods sector have been plummeting since 2000, and what has been saving the system is that the Chinese production goods sector is subsidized by the state and uses very cheap, semi-slave labor. What was saving the system was China's production in the producer goods sector. But now it's over. As Marx predicted, the LAW of the falling rate of profits will explode this system, and we will either live in Mad Max or in an anarchic, stateless communism.
