One cannot easily live in an upscale White neighborhood if they are poor, and from the perspective of the leftist, where there is wealth, there is a nexus of oppression. The leftist believes religiously that all forms of social supremacy are bad if they are wealthy, or if they are White. Leftists despise rich people of all backgrounds, and Whites of all classes. As such the idea of a moderately wealthy White suburb sends them seething. They dispose such places, seeing them as breaking the taboos of their religion.

Suburbs were created after immigrants turned cities into unlivable tax embezzlement schemes, especially after blacks came. In the 60's the blacks had the excact same plan as the other immigrants. They were going to move into the north, take everybody's jobs, slide parallel into white society and then crank up the taxes and embezzlement. But white people got in their cars and left. The left hated this so much that they tried to kill the car industry in the 70's and also fossil fuels since they don't support socialists
