Does anyone else feel this Twilight Zone shit taking over right now? I know things have felt off for a while, but this is the most "off" things have ever felt. It feels like the Overton window is shifting, but I can't tell which way it's shifting or if it's even shifting one way in particular at all. It's almost like we're locked in a state of paralysis where things are constantly deteriorating, but people are now just accepting of the fact that deterioration is the new norm, and most have settled for simply "existing" as pawns in this technocratic endgame of society. Christmas with the family this year felt exactly like the Twilight Zone reality that I'm describing. We're all just sitting around acting like shit's not over while we celebrate a dying culture that's probably past the point of no return. All the kids had this dead look in their eyes like they're missing a key piece of what makes humans "human." We're happy with our technology but unhappy with the way things are ultimately heading. "Melancholy" I guess is the word I'd use to describe the current state. Hopefully someone here is autistic enough to understand and relate to my noticings. Anyone else?
