I got a blue collar once. My first 4 days they refused to train me on anything even though we were around chemicals and really dangerous heavy equipment. On the 5th night it snowed which made the job site miserable they told me to get in a giant hopper and dig it out even though if I caught my too long coveralls they gave me I would’ve died or been maimed. That night said fuck it, handed in all my shit, quit via text, and never took another blue collar job again. The problem really is not just that the people at the job site were retarded, although that was a problem. It’s that they were knuckleheads who actually wanted to fuck you over, harass you, or get you hurt. They got off on bullying the new guy, the college boy. They clearly had it out for me and couldn’t just be normal and safe. Half of them were on drugs or alcoholics too. These fuckers have ruined blue collar work.

While I hated all of their colour choices and finishes it did look fucking gangster when it was done. They had every faucet, handle, door knob, drawer pull, and light fixture custom made to match in art deco black and gold. Plus it's the entire top floor with wrap around windows that you ask to open and close. It ended up pretty slick
