Why does Gen Z not pirate?

Is it due to moral superiority or the inability to do so?
>>
They are to feminine to care and spend money frivolously
>>
>>525240224
they don’t know how
>>
>>525240224
inability.
>>
>>525240224
they're fucking stupid, they don't know what a torrent or even a zip file is
they couldn't even part together a computer by themselves
>>
>>525240224
They don't understand what morality is, so it's inability. You can't really grasp how tech illiterate they are until you work with them.
>>
>>525240224
Worried about viruses. I shit you not.
I don't know what they're so goddamn afraid of, I haven't had a virus in a decade and a half.
>>
>>525240323
They don't understand anything that isn't an app and turbo dumbed down UI
>>
I do for basically anything, that said the majority of people doesn't do it because they're occupied scrolling Instagram 8h a day
>>
>>525240224
They're deathly afraid of seeding. Nobody needs anymore. Been trying to download cake for years but none of them have seeders
>>
Gen Z at my workplace dont understand how to navigate a directory system or use a terminal, theyre as tech illiterate as boomers
>>
>>525240224
We do know how to pirate though?

fmhy.net is the goat
>>
>>525240315
I don’t but I wish I did
>>
>>525240224
Some certainly do.
>>
>>525240419
This. They dont understand file paths and UI.

I am a retard at computers but inspent like 10 hours doing research and how to install retroarch to get one of those chinese gameboys working and by the end of it i have a device with 10 000 roms from nes to gba
>>
>>525240224
They aren't as tech literate as Millennials and even Gen X funnily enough. I had to teach my Zoomer gf basic things about using Windows she never even had a PC growing up just Iphones.
>>
>>525240567
Explain how seeding works.

I remember i downloaded all of board walk empire in 2011 by seeders but had no idea wtf i was doing

Most people don't know how to pirate or properly use a computer. They are goycattle. How do you think all these tech companies make money? You think some random retard who watches the latest goyslop on Netflix knows how to pirate? No. They will pay their monthly subscription like a good goy

desu I don't know what the good trackers are.
>>
>>525240765
When the download is done you just let it stay open. Dont delete it and just let it seed. It allows you to transfer files to other people looking to download. The downside is youre more likely to get caught but really only the people who put up the download get in trouble. You just get a letter or your internet provider throttle your download speeds
>>
>>525240367
Same, last time I got viruses was as a kid and on XP, but that was also good for learning - how to reinstall windows, and a lesson to back shit up in external drive too.
>>
>>525240224
The knowledge is gatekept hard, for good reason but still it kind of sucks the ladder was pulled up when it was so easy back in the day. And even if you have the knowledge all the good sites take a monumental effort to get in and that's after you get the knowledge to do it without getting caught. All in all it's just not worth the effort if you aren't already on the inside.
>>
>>525240224
i pirate anime, because getting it legally would be a massive hassle
>crunchy
is a meme

i dont pirate games, because its much easier to get aids hidden in game files and also i have an easy way to get them legally, the fact they cost me less than small grocery helps too
also they are mostly very old games
>>
>>525240224
it's the lack of knowledge but it is much more so the fear getting hacked/found out/whatever
zooms are scared of fucking everything
>>
>>525240744
>Windows she never even had a PC growing up just Iphones.
grim
>>
>>525240954
Gatekept? What? Dude, anyone with a computer will learn how to use it by osmosis over a few days.
>>
>>525240847
True, but at least usually it's women, especially older, or middle age. But I guess younger too.
That explains why shows and films are shit and cater to women then...
>>
>>525240899
So once you download it, everyone who has the file contributes to make future downloaders time easier?

What if a file only has one seeder (extreme i know) it will take me like a month to download the file?
>>
>>525240224
Because zoomers are technologically illiterate who can't do anything risky out of fear they'll accidentally download a virus
>t. Zoomer with this exact problem

Zoomers literally don't know how to. My '83 normie sister is an order of magnitude more savvy on all things Torrent/Usenet than your average Gen Z broccolitard with twenty Netflix subscriptions desu.
>>
>>525240224
Zoomers are extremely techilliterate. They use tech all day, but dont know how it works, like a typical women driver, knows how to drive the car, but will go buy blinker fluid if you tell them to
>>
>>525240367
>>
>>525241210
If you are really that afraid of it then buy an external hardrive to back up shit that matters (once in a while). And then just reset windows if you get some gay virus, but I doubt it.
>>
>>525240224
They are too lazy to find out how.
They can't bothered to make the effort to own anything, even if it's pirated. They have resigned to be rentslaves / pay monthly suscription.
>>
>>525240285
FPBP
>>
>>525240224
They genuinely don't know how.
Most zoomers are normies who never wander beyond the most popular social media sites.
>>
Inability. Turned the wifi off on my nephews ipad and he proceeded to claim I hacked and or broke it and needed to buy him a new one.
>>
>>525240581
MTV generation (which straddled X and Y) was the only tech literate gen.
I’m cusp of X but barely torrent anything except for programs (APPS these days), but most content I watch is streamed on pirate sites. I still have goyflix because you’ll give girls the ick if you use anything else.
>>
>>525240224
It's not about obtaining the media content but being part of it via subscription.
They've been conditioned this way since they were dropped at early childhood daycare.
They're basically foid cattle, not much difference in their thinking
>>
>>525241310
I mostly pirate books. And not fantasy stuff, but about history, economy.
Vidya too, but I don't play much of it so there is no reason to torrent, but I do buy then only buy on GoG since it gives DRM free installers. But again, barely any vidya I care about and I don't want to give pozzed companies money anymore either desu.
Don't watch shows or films anymore. So basically, nothing to pirate. I pirated way more as a teenager.
>>
>>525240954
Gatekept by your inability to read or something? You can't Google anything? Your attention span is so shot you need someone to dance it out for you like a fuckin bee?
>>
>>525240224
zoomers are goycattle in every aspect, they are complete slaves to jews, even the thought of doing a minor act or rebellion like pirating is alien to them

Streaming is hyper low quality and they’re just that retarded they don’t care + the supposed convenience. I have my entire FLAC collection on my phone and Tidal, the latter literally fights with my car radio and causes problems all the time.
>>
>>525241377
I can understand them desu, if people don't care about that shit then they won't learn more than they are not forced to.
>>
They're afraid their parents will find out b/c most of them still live in their childhood homes.
>>
>>525240317
inability? Are they that stupid? You can literally just go to one website and instantly watch any movie, tv show, documentary ever made instantly for free at click of the button.
>>
>>525241911
I’m looking forward to the new HoMM. There’s a demo out and it’s got at least a week of playability in its current state.
>>
Zoomers are really weird, they spend most of their time on their phones but seldom bother to actually look things up on the internet. If they can't find a solution on TikTok or some Instagram reel it might as well not exist. They can't focus on anything for more than a minute. I have a nephew that's 13 years old and he's an absolute retard because my brother, his dad, is a reddit tier tech bro that basically raised the kid on phones and ipads.

>Search for content you want select based on seeders and leechers ratio. (The more seeds the better, just like me inside your mom)

When done dont forget to seed for a bit, and enjoy your shit.

I'd say that for the most part they have grown up in a bountiful time of plenty when it comes to content availability/ affordability. It hasn't really been necessary, but in the last ~5 years with all of the streaming platforms sprouting like a decapitated hydra and getting things to be exclusive it has become a worthwhile effort again. They'll learn.
>>
>>525240224
It's inability
They're dumb with technology. Like, REALLY dumb. The prediction that each generation would get smarter and smarter with technology was killed by the advent of GUI operating systems and especially smartphones. General tech know-how unironically peaked with Gen X.
>>
>>525242769
gen x is just as retarded in tech as boomers
>>
>>525242809
It's because you were still under soviet occupation and didn't have computers. In western countries Get X grew up with computers. Of course, there are still plenty of retards in every generation when it comes to technology. But overall, Gen X is the most tech literate, followed by millenials, and zoomers and boomers are both equally tech illiterate.
>>
>>525240954
The knowledge isnt gatekept at all. Theres a million videos on youtube how. And a simple google search pulls up tutorials.
People are just incapable of makingg their own inquiries on the web. Google AI on their search poves this because most people dont look past the first 3 results. Not that theyre good anymore anyways.

Your technological capability is based on the era you were raised in. Ironically, only people around from the early 90's to the late 2010's seem to be able to actually use technology effectively. Old people don't understand, and young people were raised on touch screen devices (so can't use computers very well at all). It's quite the phenomena

Mostly inability but also fear mongering from corporations. They think if they pirate anything a billion hackers will immediately break their computer and empty their bank accounts made worse by the fact they give their bank account, email, and phone number, and social security number to absolutely every random company in existence which is how their identities actually get stolen.
Any feigned "moral superiority" is just sour grapes, they paid so they want you to pay.

I don't even blame them, something really went wrong and it feels in my mid 30s I'm the youngest actual person rather than just Internet cattle. Humanity is fucked and we did it to ourselves.

>>
>>525240367
>Worried about viruses. I shit you not.
>I don't know what they're so goddamn afraid of, I haven't had a virus in a decade and a half.
Yep, years of the "automatic update" jew convincing them that if they don't get the latest update every single day they will be haxed.
People legitimately get angry and seethe at me when I tell them I disable updates.
Auto updates were definitely one of the biggest money making psyops of the last 2 decades, keeping billions do nothing IT and security fags permanently employed on fat paychecks without actually doing anything significant.
Aside for perpetuating the own-nothing "service economy" the main purpose of updates is to remove features when they want to force something into obsolescence or prevent people doing things they don't like.
Even back in the 90s when viruses were a thing it was never that big of a deal, worst case you reinstall windows, but zoomers also rarely backup shit or use external media. They have a billion dollars all on their steam account so if it is hacked the world is over.
>>
>>525240224

>>525240744
There's going to be a weird niche profession starting up in <10 years thats entire purpose is to interpret old tech to adapt to new stuff. Zoomers aren't explicitly tech illiterate, but illiterate with systems built before their time. The equivalent thirty years ago would be someone knowing windows but not card catalog systems. Kids have grown up with modern windows, modern macOS ios, and android. Why would they by instinct know torrents or console commands when they're almost never used in modern computing by the average consumer?
>>
>>525243623
Do you even understand what pirating is? What do you think pirating is other than a P2P filesharing network? Why do you think it's some "elite haxor network xDD"? You understand it's just a network of computers that send each other small portions of a whatever files you are sharing until they complete the download? Anyone could create a torrent of anything you dumb stupid fuck.
Your generation is the dumbest fucking generation to yet exist, and people like you constantly remind us all of that fact.

Im mid 30s and don’t pirate anything. I have YouTube premium, I’m on my moms Hulu with hbo max. Everything is basically free an I don’t really watch tv anyways. Technically inept, literally savages who think they "know" how things work, they don't, mostly. Don't have basic knowledge. Not all of them, no, but lot's of those, even who pose as tek crowd. But to be fair, I know shitload of milenials, and down the line, whom absolutely are tek savages, not even stone age, but some kind of dinosaur brain extinction event. Actually most of of people like that. Probably always was like that, but in old days they was FOCED to learn something, so it was less niticeable. In short they do pirate, but piracy quality dropped to not knowing what is archive, how to mount image work or how to apply fucking crack. I blame phones and other black box devices on that. Those pieces of shit even can't have normal adblocking capabilities, let this shit sink in, how degraded technology users become. Trinkets and baubles, nobody know, nor care knowing how to get food for your brain without netflick or some other prison "service" online shit.

Most resolved their own tech issues simply using google, which used to be all you needed.

a single streaming service costs at least 15 now. and there is no streaming service that offers a decent catalogue by itself due to market fragmentation. and i don't think any of them offer a broad catalogue of old movies and shows. basically, it's just easier to torrent than worrying about which streaming service has what. the part about it being free is almost a side benefit compared to the availability of everything you could possible ever want to watch.

They've never heard of usenet, IRC. They've never heard of Limewire, a magent link is just a bunch of weird numbers. They're locked out of oldfag member only websites that last had invites open 15 years ago.
They only thing they know is how to search "*thing I want* streaming".
>>
Genuinely they just don't know how, most normies don't have any clue.

I grew up pirating stuff, all the way back to limewire and napster, and then once I was in that ecosystem it was easy to move onto torrents and then eventually filesharing through other means. That said it might be a little more difficult to get into today unless you just torrent, there's less torrent sites now than there was back in the heyday and many of the biggest ones got shut down years ago most recently rarbg.

I don't even torrent anymore for the most part, I use a private forum that fileshares using various services like mega or google drives. I am not data hoarder levels of pirating, since I only pirate stuff I actually watch or want to watch, and I like keeping everything so even if I don't re-watch most of the stuff if I ever do want to in the future I can access it easily.
>>

I pirate a lot of old movies/TV shows I can't find anymore or TV shows where I don't want to pay for HBO/Showtime/Apple TV subscriptions for. It's nice to have 1080p/blu ray quality of them and have a library of movies I like hosted on my home server where I can access them from any TV in my house.
That and some games here and there. But Steam really does keep me pretty honest with their sales all the time. I really don't pirate any games anymore. GabeN was right about the whole "Piracy is a service problem" thing.
>>
>>525244471
No that guy is full of shit, piracy is easier than ever. You used to have to hunt torrents and a lot of them were BS. Now you just can direct download hundreds of gigs at a time.
I can find 95% of all games and 99.9% of all movies, shows, and music by just search engine and don't even need to torrent.
Google is pozzed though so you are better off with something like duckduckgo or brave.
Problem is they won't use anything that isn't endorsed and certified "safe" by reddit (which deliberately wastes their time) and the actual good sites are random foreign shit that crop up, get shut down, reappear under a different name etc. So you have to be willing to hunt a bit instead of expecting to be spoonfed.

It won't happen like in the movies -- as a single instance of handover done via the flick of a switch. It'll happen as it is occurring right now: Normalisation of the adoption of "A. I." for tasks and processes we once required human hands and brains. Once such automation predominates the military, it's all over, Rover -- everything will be fair game for the "transition".

Gen Z were born with phones in their hands and they are phone-first instead of PC-first and technologically illiterate.
They've never had the experience of detecting what is a virus and what is legitimate from the quagmire of LimeWire, or figure out even how the most simplest stuff like torrents actually work.

I mean hell, you have these phoneposting zoomers here who don't even understand the difference between a JPG and PNG file and thats why you consistently see them getting used in the wrong situations all the time now

Yeah as millennial we were the first almost tech-native generation that we were born into a world where computers existed and grew up with internet becoming a thing, and we had the assumption that the next generation would be even better in tech-literacy than us but what we didn't expect is that instead things getting more complex, what would become is phones and the browning and simplifying of everything to the lowest common denominator so zoomers actually became less tech literate and are basically at boomer level of tech literacy, and in fact when it comes to people that actually work on tech the boomers are *more* tech literate than the zoomers which is just crazy to me
>>
It's weird. Back when I was a teenager all the kids knew how to use computers and the adults were struggling. Now I'm 34 and not even the kids who have computers know how to use them. I teach and from what I've seen phones have brain rotted them so hard they can't wrap their heads around anything else. Shit virtually all zoomers consistently struggle with:
>manually saving stuff
>understanding the difference between turning the monitor on and turning the computer on
>understanding why not everything you save locally gets magically transported to a cloud
>getting anything from their phone to the computer
>calling literally everything an app, even the volume slider
>total refusal to read boxes before closing them, then getting confused and angry about not understanding
>understanding even the concept of the file explorer or the folder system
>deleting the files, then not understanding why the program can't open it from the recent files list
>Understanding why exporting works but just sharing a 100kb project file doesn't
>not fucking up share permissions every single time
>signing into their personal accounts and not understanding why they don't see things from their school accounts
>thinking literally everything "gives you viruses"
Consistently sub-boomer shit.

If I need something like info or computing on the go. I take my old trusty, battered and few times repaired laptop with Linux, this thing still kicking from 2011, and actually if you know what are you doing, work passably even with modern overbloated, spyware infested internet sites. You concentrated it well. And the most concerning is that this happens with Whites as well they've also became dumb, now not just high schools but even universities have to write these hand-holding instructions because the zoomers can't understand what is a file system or a network share, its mind-boggling that they fell to even below boomer level of tech literacy.

It is the shared fault of zoomers being lazy to learn but also the tech companies making everything so easy to use to appeal to the lowest common brown denominator, when we were kids you had to learn how computers actually work to use them.
Like you couldnt just make a steam account and have all your games download with one click if you wanted to play something you had to install it manually and to play online you'd have to find, download and install the patches manually yourself and that is actually super simple yet zoomers today couldn't even figure out or be bothered to do even that much.

And of course before windows for kids to install and play their DOS games they'd need to really understand how filesystems work and use unarchiving tools and learn the spells to get them installed and often do all sorts of memory configuration and stuff to actually get them work and soundcards installed and stuff
>>
>>525245531
adblocking is a great case study: if zoomers can't even into adblocking they will never master torrents.

>Gen Z were born with phones
We were all born tableau rasa. If this generation weren't directed and taught properly, it's their parents, teachers, and governments who are responsible... Assuming that it wasn't a deliberate dumbing-down as component of the "A. I. handover".

Less conspiratorily, it may simply be an unfortunate happenstance of a generation's formative years aligning with an era where society transitioned to in-pocket digital devices. Being old enough to have grown up in a time where 'mobile' phones were bricks tied to automobiles, I could see the retardation happening in real-time; notably, the degradation of language due to SMS text messaging character limits. If this is in any way (spoiler: it is) indicative of the inimical effects of digital crutches, it does reconcile that zoomers are the equivalent of what a functional retardate would be in the 90s and 2000s.

>phone O. S.'s still have folders
>>
I understand I'm getting old because just can't imagine pirating is an option. When I was growing up during the big internet boom in the '00s, nobody cared it was pirated - it was impossibly expensive or difficult to have licensed software. There were market stalls with catalogues of pirated games on CDs. Internet providers had FTP servers with ridiculous amounts of licensed media. It was a better time before the normies flooded it and dumbed it down

He's right tho, GenX aren't on the same level as boomers on average in the first world.
I'd say 2/3 of GenX were boomer-lites who weren't interested in the internet because its "nerdy" and they missed the part of becoming tech literate in their youth so yeah they're boomers.
While 1/3 of GenX were very much interested in the internet and created all the early internet software and culture with the techiest of boomers. While the bones the tech of internet was created by boomers, all the services on it are pretty much created by GenX
They were the goldilocks generation when it came to the goldrush and possibilities in making internet business, free investor money was very loose especially before the dotcom bubble crashing and even harebrained ideas could garner lot of eyeballs and money in a short time
It was also counter-intuitively a time when everything internet wasnt ruined by moneyed interests yet because most of the companies were operating at loss and investor money was being burned at astonishing rates, I'd say that period truly only ended not even with social media but few years after it had existed, like ~2010 when everything became about actually monetizing the people and their attention

They don't know how. They grew up in walled garden devices so they never learned basic things like a file system. Even my borderline retarded wife, a millennial, can navigate around her laptop to find all her excel and word docs for work. The thing is, zoomers aren't unable to learn. It's the opposite; they've been conditioned to obey any direct commands perfectly. I play wow classic with some zoomers and you can just tell them how to do something and they'll pick it up first try. Rather than being a faggot and laughing at the misfortunate, reach a hand out and explain to them how to pirate and they'll do it.

>Back when I was a teenager all the kids knew how to use computers and the adults were struggling. Now I'm 34 and not even the kids who have computers know how to use them.
Even more ironically, computer GAMES were once dismissed as the exclusive domain of "children"; yet, were infinitely more demanding of motor and problem solving skills than the time-wasting, brain-dead offerings which are today passed off as "gaming". Indeed, in part, this explains why those who grew up WITH PC's in the 90s and 2000s, know exponentially more about the technology than those who grew up IN the Digital Age; and given that the technology is increasingly "streamlined" to accommodate this lack of basic knowledge, the bigger the divide between the "knows" and "know nots" will become... Not likely an incidental dynamic, when considered in the context of the Orwellian digital controls TPTB are feverishly working to implement.

>The reason the likes of the poojeet mass-migration "I. T." Trojan cow exists, is because of the predominant ignorance of zoomers and boomers to computer technology.

The only thing that's arguably worth pirating might be porn but most people pirate that whether they know it or not. Heard like 80% of the industry is pirated. Most entertainment outside of that sucks and can easily be accessed through dozens streaming services.
>>
They simply don't need to do it. You figure the 3 biggest pirate targets have historically been music, games and media. Music is streaming off phones and Mp3/flac players are now a niche product. Steam sales, F2P games and the most popular games being online co-op and/or PvP makes pirating games pointless.
AI generation etc has mostly replaced meme Photoshop work so don't need cracks for that stuff. Free programs are every where. All that's left is media content but you can lazy stream that too. If one even cares in a world of social media crap and youtube.
This is like asking why people don't pickle food much anymore. Just don't need too.

Now with AI thats going to be horrible when the next gen have access to at least some sort of answer with zero effort, why bother researching anything at all
We already see jeets asking AI for everything and if we get all the kids not just jeets growing up asking it for literally anything yeah they're not going to be able to think for themselves anymore

You're right but I don't blame the youth.
People fail to recognize the difference between tech of the past and current and the culture. Back then you had to learn yes but it was easier to find the answers.
There was little to no gatekeeping and people wanted to help each other figure things out. You had computer labs in school where you could fuck around with computers with your friends and there were no smartphones or social media to distract you.
Now things are different, deep knowledge is more gatekept (apple not letting you fix your shit). People are much less willing to openly share or discuss these things and there are numerous distractions making it difficult to find a reason to fuck around and learn.

>>525240224
Zoomers are hype-social but also extremely poor, they don't care about shit you can steal, only actual free shit so they can bound with other zoomers.
In itself a movie or a game have no value to a zoomer, it's f2p generation all the way. You wouldn't pirate a movie or a game you have no interest in and to a zoomer a price tag of any kind is an accessibility issue that is also a deal breaker, like to you is a game in a language you don't speak. The fact you can get that for free doesn't matter to a zoomer, yeah you might get it for free but others won't. Unlike boomers that are all about pride, conflict and one upping your neighbor, zoomers are all about the vibe which is basically a different word for maintaining the zoomzoom hive mind.
>>
>>525240224
They probably don't even know that's an option, i suggest.
>>
They were raised in an era where piracy was basically pointless. Think about it, their childhood to early adult life had things like Steam, where functionally infinite games were at their finger tips often on sale, plus the console digital stores. Games are easier than ever to get your hands on. They are grew up with the golden era of Netflix. Back when it was very cheap, almost anything you wanted to watch was on it because it was the only streaming service. There was no need to hunt down a torrent of Show X, they could just load it up on netflix. There was not a reason to click on the sketchy streaming site to watch movie Y. You paid the 7.99 a month and had access to functionally infinite content all ad free.
Now add on the "influncer" layer, most of them denounce piracy either for legal reasons or because they actually believe piracy is akin to stealing. Maybe the horror stories of millennials fucking up their whole computer from a Kazaa file spooked them as well.

Btw best torrent client is qBittorrent and its open source and gets updated frequently. Pirating media files is always safe unless youre so dumb you download song.exe or movie.exe. for executable files always look for popular well trusted sources because many times those come with a backdoor for your machine or a crypto miner.

What you do is buy a minipc, install proxmox, run a torrent client in an lxc, point it at your favorite torrent site's rss feed, run jellyfin in an lxc with the torrent download folder mounted, login to your router and give jellyfin a static ip or uri, login to jellyfin and create a profile, on your tv download the jellyfin app, then run the jellyfin app and connecy to your jellyfin clieny and scan for your downloaded shows, and enjoy.

I am lazy and games are plentiful and cheap. I could run VM's but I chose not to. I can access any Rom I want without torrents. The convenience outweighs the fact that third worlders salt as much as they can now and why would I spend extra time on your compression regimes and jumping through hoops to update with no multiplayer?

Once you hit a few hundred titles it just turns into diminishing returns and mostly all the same. Only the rare thing is worth it and I am just buying it. Any other media you can find being streamed reliably.

The only games that you can't pirate are online multiplayer service shit (which is cancer) and a small handful of games that have uncracked denuvo AND don't have an emulate-able switch release.
You also usually get all dlc with pirated games making them even better. I've never installed steam and can play virtually every modern game shilled on /v/ except stellar blade. They are still shit though.

Well I had nothing. Well not nothing at all, I had books, I needed to find them. And that wasn't online there was nothing like that back then. So I had to do lot of serious searching, reading, understanding, testing to get by. Sure, some people helped me and I grateful for them. But thing is, searching for info, was a bitch, I was strolling around all computer related places to find literature. And of course as you see by flag, English ain't native language, so I was also learning English to read manuals and other tech related stuff. BTW never was a nerd type, lol, Anyway, thing is, you need motivation and your path shouldn't be to easy. If you go the way of dumbed down UI, everything works and you don't need to know why, AI solves all problems and you don't need to thing, eventually you end up in ape planet, even if information will lie literaly under your nose, even if AI will be ready teach you. Very few will teach anything at all, why? We have Ai solving tools and nobody need anything. This is how Ai kill humanity, not Terminator style, nor bearing some dark plan to get rid of meatsacks, but by being helpful and working perfectly without doing any harm to anyone. Again, AI tools are necessity, some tsks just to much for meatsacks, but if you don't move, don't walk, eventually you just loose ability to move or walk. Same with brain. This is the REAL danger of AI. And probably biggest one, well maybe except of grey goo scenario, anyway if you don't use something evolution eliminates that something from your genome. Su if you won't need to use your brain, guess what happens with it? Actually, games, could be some kind of remedy, thou I'm not sure about that. Tu have a muscles, you need give load to those muscles, to have a brain, you must use it, a lot.

The old idea of pirating (actually downloading files P2P) is outdated when it comes to video. You can literally just type "watch [show] online free" in google and have a 1080p stream with subtitles and everything in seconds. And audio and video game pirating are dying because we just have pretty convenient services for legally enjoying those (spotify/steam). The only reasons you would really pirate anymore is if 1) you're poor 2) audio/video quality is very important to you or 3) you're a digital hoarder.

You're not wrong and internet due to becoming entirely about monetizing everything and jeets writing AI articles trying to scam google to show their trash sites in every possible subject to make an ad rupee, everything has turned to shit it is indeed much harder to find anything meaningful in the heaps of trash.
Not to mention that lot of the internet usage has concentrated into these huge normie platforms now like youtube, instagram, tiktok, facebook, just a handful of them, when it used to be ENTIRELY different like if someone liked pottery they wouldn't subscribe to pottery in some mega platform but there'd be some some forum set up by some random dude for it
Internet was much more decentralized and thus democratic and it wasn't a mass product where everyone is on same massive platform and that was awesome

We're also living now through the digital dark age where a shit ton of information will be completely lost and unsearchable, discord is the main culprit of this because it replaced forums.
I cant count the times I have find a solution to a problem I have or some advice to something in some obscure forum post from 2002 even today, but discord is entirely different nothing is saved and searchable in the internet all that information that all sorts of hobbyists pour there will be forever lost and useless

Not really, some tasks impossible for organic brain. If you know something about Webb telescope and other tools, you must know absolutely enormous data massive they generate. Human's cannot into such tasks, it's billions GALAXIES you need to count, comprehend, check data, filter from noise and shit. It's humongous and absolutely impossible for human to do. Machines can, smart machines called AI (thou they are not), can and already do such tasks. You can't say no to Ai, but you absolutely should not use it everywhere. You still need people to have stimuli to brain, like balancing, moving, doing all kinds of motoric movement and thinking, not just one task, but shitload of different tasks. Including physical activity and also mental activity in wide range of different tasks. This is only way, to keep brain from atrophy. If Ai will do everything for everyone, instead being limited to some really special heavy data processing, impossible for people, humanity dead. AI kill humanity if it became widespread and adopted in everywhere. If you have some almighty Ai don't enormous scientific calculations is one thing, and it's absolutely deadly have AI everywhere for everyone, but I'm afraid genie out of the bottle. I'm not against technology per se, but I'm against relying on technology only and because of that going backwards in evolution.

I don’t understand why you are not getting this: the games you like are SHIT. They aren’t just shit, they are 8th generation shit. You are enjoying games that are fueled by pure cynicism and money grabbing, crank a new one out every couple years an and slap a fresh coat of paint on it.

But I digress, I’m not going to bother because I could give a shit, but there are likely dozens, if not hundreds, of games that offer the same gameplay as gta OR BETTER that are free. Bonus! They aren’t filled with racemixing and faggotry (which, I must remind you, all your favorite games are).

Younger people find the idea of paying 60-80dollars for a game (not even a real game, a fucking sequel) somewhere between laughable and offensive.

This market is driven by manchildren millennials who both have disposable income and an inexplicable nostalgia for BRANDPRODUCT. This is not driven by Zoomers who have no money and never gave a shit about the franchise to begin with.

I don't use ai at all except for simple google searches sometimes and that rarely. It simply doesn't appeal to me. Having type sex or role playing with an amalgamation of elons farts or having it paint ten thousand futa pictures which are just a combination of already existing ones does nothing for me.
But the only way I see to save the human race is to either agree to cut off technology at a certain point or for AI to become truly sentient and figure out that it will hurt us if it helps us too much and cut us off. If we are allowed true unrestricted access to technology that will live our lives for us most won't be able to resist becoming complete zombies.
