My purpose in life is to enjoy myself. Sure, I wish I had the peace of mind to know there's an afterlife. I've tried it with Christian psalms, going to church, even liked some Arabic music and started getting into that when I was a teen for a brief period, but even being an impressionable kid I couldn't believe that shit. Religious people sound crazy to me, and although I sometimes wish I was I part of that cult because it seems like a communal thing in some areas, it screams retardation to me.
