the city itself is literally pushing the earth down and people are construing it as sea level rise
the actual level of rise since 1950 is about 2 inches if you dont factor the city itself "sinking"

15,000 years ago, the last ice age ended. For the next 3,000 years, sea level rose 450 feet.

450.

Imagine how many coastal towns and villages were lost. Imagine how much history is under hundreds of feet of silt.

Anyway, it's not manmade and the sun will always get the final vote.

There are cities all across the world with ancient stoneworks from hundreds or thousands of years ago and no measurable sea level rise.

>>
>>525733139
>Boston, NYC, DC, Baltimore, New Orleans, Miami
>All gone.
Oh no. How awful.
>>
The answer is yes it does raise the water level... What doesn't raise the water level? Ice floating in a glass melting. Has the vast majority of the ice loss been sea ice or ice not floating? Oh almost all floating. So I guess the danger would be a cascade leading to rapid melting of the non floating ice. Let's look at Greenland. The ice rises over a mile above the ground and in some places over 3km. It's also over 1.7 million square kilometers in area creating 2.9 million cubic kilometers of ice ready to be dumped in the drink. And as the moulins cut through it they also lubricate the underside meaning it's literally a slippery slope. It might never happen but if even just Greenland melts that alone raises the ocean 23 feet.
>>
>>525733139
Absolute lie.
You can go to Daytona Beach or Tampa and see that nothing built in the '50s-'80s is submerged.

This is especially true if you go to marinas and see the water is still at the level they were originally built for.

Ice caps are not floating in the water retard. They are glaciers up on land. If you have an Ice Cube next to a glass of water, where the ice is melting and the melt goes into the glass, then the water level rises when the ice melts.

It's always funny when muh climate change act like it's the end of the world when they predict sea level is going to increase by a few inches over the next century. It's like they don't realize that the sea level goes up and down like 6-8 feet twice a day in most of these places.

there is a ton of evidence that the climate is changing, whether it's bad or good is to be determined. there is plenty of evidence it is man made climate change since the industrial revolution. the problem is the left looks at it uncritically and pushes through legislation to (((fix))) it and end up getting bilked by shysters, discrediting the actual science. acid rain and cfc's were addressed and fixed but not all ghg's are bad.

>there is a ton of evidence that the climate is changing
Yeah, no shit. The climate has always been changing. 20,000 years ago most of the northern hemisphere was covered in ice sheets miles thick, but then it started warming up and the ice melted.
This is a regular cycle that has been going on for a LONG time, well before humans even existed. Earth gradually cools down over a long period, then it suddenly warms up and the ice melts for a relatively short period before it starts cooling down again.
We are currently, and have been for all of human history and civilization, been in that relatively short warming period. That is a good thing, because humans and humanity are far more capable of surviving in warm environments than ones where most of the planet is frozen and covered with miles thick sheets of ice.
Based on those past climate cycles, we are due for a return to that long cold period, which would be absolutely disastrous for humanity. Far worse than the average ocean level rising a few inches.
If human activity actually has any significant effect on natural climate change (it doesn't), then keeping the planet warmer longer would actually be a good thing.

If the glaciers melted in greenland and Antarctica both lf those landmasses would float higher on the mantle.

Also the extra water in the ocean would literally flex the ocean deeper and the continents would float at about the same level.

The continents float and are less dense than the ocean. Weird that rock is less dense than water, but that's literally how it works.

>not going nuclear was one of the left's biggest failures to date and there's been a lot
The Left are just contrarian idealists who never actually use logic or rationality. They feel guilt and shame for being born in advanced, fully developed, White first world countries. They want to de-industrialize and de-develop and de-White and de-first world because they idealize noble savages living like dirty hippies and using every part of the buffalo.
The Left always makes the same mistake, and (very wrongly) assumes that society will naturally progress towards some kind of diverse gay space nigger communist utopia. That is why they call themselves Progressives. But because of this assumption, they never actually bother to come up with a coherent plan or framework for actually getting there. They think it will just happen.
They think that every current thing that works is ackshully what's hindering gay space nigger communism from happening, and therefore they have a moral duty to destroy the current thing that works and replace it with its exact opposite, this will somehow bring about gay space nigger communist utopia.
It's literally just Frankfurt School Critical Theory, they are just too retarded to realize that whenever they try to do this shit, they actually end up getting the opposite of gay space nigger communist utopia.

The waves in the sound are way smaller than in the ocean, and yeah the hurricanes destroy pretty much everything, probably why there's no windmills there... and why the sandhills are so impoverished. At least that's our excuse. Of course Trump's Mar a Lago and miami is rich, but they have vast mangrove forests that blunt the hurricanes and help protect southern florida from such devastation. I wish Trump would assemble a team of saltwater aquaculture farmers from Japan and the Phillipines to build mangrove/seaweed farms among our crucial allies, such as in bardawil lake between Israel and Egypt or in the palk bay between India and Sri Lanka. The Indians could even dump their sewage there and insodoing rebuild their shri ram setu landbridge across the sea, thus reuniting their great lost island with their mainland

Kek, how the fuck do those faggots even survive. I think they all just mindrape each other into existence through our education system. The Chinese are right about one thing though: problem and opportunity are actually the same thing. If the fish are escaping the fish farm then they're probably just being poached by predators. build a bunch of little windmills in the fish farm so the dead birds can feed the fish. What would be really cool is if you caught octopus poaching your fish: catch the octopus and cut off his tentacles for some delicious calamari, then feed him the leftover scraps until he grows his tentacles back. After he and his octopus buddies learn their lesson a few times they might even be able to teach the dolphins to catch fish for you.

Lol I always wondered why can't I just have a bunch of cows and take a couple bites a day... Like it's going to be super fresh and rare. The cow doesn't die it's barely even a wound to him... And by the time I get back around to him he will be all healed and I'll bite somewhere new. Couldn't I as a farmer live for free forever and just sell them off when they are done producing milk.
