We're changing regimes in Iran in order to prevent Iran from selling oil to China. Without access to Venezuelan or Iranian oil and with only limited access to Russian oil, China won't be able to project power throughout the world as it hopes. We are, in case you failed to noticed, implementing regime change in a number of African countries; the same ones which have allowed China to establish REE mining operations.
