In the recent weeks, we've seen very violent protests, with trump threatening to inntervere if iran would handle the protests to harsh. Currently more and more videos come out of hunderds/thousands of bodybags.

>meanwhile

Due to the harsh crackdown of the islamic republic on the protestss, the antionwide protests starts to die down. Meaning, the window to interfere is closing

>also

Yestterday, some USAF transports flew to the middle east, probably carrying air defence. Also rumor, bombshelterss aare opened all over Israel. Only a few telegram channels report this, take it with a grain of salt.

eams probably arent one-time pad encrypted but that doesn't mean they're easy to decrypt. my intention these last few years was to build up a database of eams and then work on cross-referencing any novel/unexpected transmissions with novel/unexpected aircraft activity

for this to have been meaningful, i wouldve had to do it comprehensively for months at a time, rather than just catching an eam here and there. from june 2023 through january 2024 i did do it literally 24/7 (as well as some additional periods, such as october-november 2024), but beyond that it's just too much for one person and nobody was helping me out with setting up whisper for helpful transcription (what i was given were incidental attempts at shitty transcription, which were more time consuming than manual transcription in the first place)

this is to say nothing of the fact i became convinced of the fact there is nobody on the other end of this doing sufficiently meaningful tracking of aircraft activity to have anything to cross-reference a meaningful database against, anyways. add on to this the fact people instantly lose interest in all this stuff – aircraft activity, eams, you name it – as soon as it's more than a day or two after the fact. people pay attention to these things when they're a source of "breaking news" but approach it as entertainment, and have no interest in developing pattern recognition/etc so that could actually be of use as the indicator they seem to think of it as

(the captcha on 4chan have gotten ridiculous, wtf is this spike and box shit.)

you can't decode the messages.
the characters they list off dont correspond to text in a message.
The correspond to plans in an operation manual.
They broadcast the message, and it tells them to implement the instructions in Plan A, on page 136, Section 2.C, etc.
The manual constantly changes too. So even if you got your hands on the book, you could only decipher the instructions for that day.

there are different types of messages with different types of structures. i was given the impression some of them could well have 'free text sections', but this is just a guess on my part. you're guessing too, which is fine, but it's counterproductive to state intuition as definite fact. at the least, generalizing all messages as functionally one in the same is probably incorrect

there are different types of EAMs. different parts of the military might receive different types of EAMs. the people i spoke to who i believed were ex-military would give me anecdotes that wouldn't line up with what i was documented. i believe most if not all of them generally overestimate their knowledge of the network, and underestimate how much they're left on either "need-to-know" or things they could've found out if they'd asked a bit more, but just didn't care/didn't occur to them

>>525774630
there is a weak correlation between HFGCS activity and 'happenings' and impressions otherwise are the result of people paying attention to the HFGCS only when there are happenings in the first place

for example, when i posted about a 246 character EAM broadcast in june of last year, it ended up going viral and even got some mainstream media coverage because in june of last year everyone was convinced that the US was about to intervene in iran (as it did on june 21) and was looking for any scrap of evidence it really would occur. however, when a 292 character EAM broadcast the month before, no one was particularly interested because there wasn't much going on around the time in may 2025.

there's false correlations all over the place. another example; for the last 3 years in a row, the US military has performed a large-scale nuclear exercise on the second wednesday in january, and traffic on the HFGCS goes nuts. /skg/ never noticed it and barely cared when i pointed it out because you can't hear most of it on utwente. you basically need to use american SDRs. (use american-based SDRs to monitor an american-based comms network? what a novel idea.) and this predictability aside, if the US military does a large-scale nuclear exercise on the second wednesday in january this year as well – i.e., this upcoming wednesday – it will get coverage because people will be convinced it signals US intervention in iran, and they will frame it that way

it might sound right, but it's probably incorrect. a lot of information posted about the HFGCS over the last decade and change have been 'educated guesses' that were anything but, primarily based on incorrect premises. if they had been meaningful, they would've held up against comprehensive monitoring. most of it did not

about a week ago an ex-E4 staff argued with me on twitter that nothing on the HFGCS is related to nuclear command and control. this flies contrary to tons of published documentation and audio recordings of people discussing "nuclear things" on the HFGCS. credentials mean nothing, people can still be idiots regardless of their rank. with respect to servicemen, they are not exceptional from civilians in this property, and many of them exemplify the idea

this is also incorrect. as it turned out, EAMs broadcast during midnight hammer appeared to correspond to the timeline the DOD declassified a day or two after in a pretty much 1:1 manner. i would incidentally note those on SNS and they are captured on livestream recordings on my youtube, but they are difficult to capture reliability. they are not simulcast across all frequencies. they seem to be regionally broadcast rather than globally simulcast. even my comprehensive efforts likely underreported how often they broadcast

the signal you're talking about continued even after the venezuela event, so i concluded it was likely unrelated. (as an example of selection bias, you probably saw other people "report" on the signal, who only mentioned it beforehand and said it necessarily related to venezuela, but stopped paying attention and neglected to mention it continued afterward.)

It's all good anon. I was just trying to contribute. If you want a quick and dirty fix just add some of these as in-line attributes to the <body> element:

overflow-x: auto;: This will add a horizontal scrollbar only if the content overflows the container's width. This is generally preferred for a cleaner look.

overflow-x: scroll;: This will always show the horizontal scrollbar, even if the content fits inside the container.

white-space: nowrap;: This property prevents the content from wrapping to the next line, forcing it into a single horizontal line.

width: 100%;: This ensures the container has a defined width that can be exceeded by its contents.
I commend you on giving us more tools to be productive as we waste our fucking lives in this shithole. If us anons toy with things like this and document it, we may have valuable skills on our hands if we can every hold eye contact long enough to successfully finish a job interview.

i do actually appreciate it. i tried to make the best of an opportunity like this to learn some practical stuff in areas i'm weak in (and, reading between the lines of the altercation with the other guy, i instead ended up wasting a lot of time arguing with people who had nothing of practical value to teach me)

that seems obvious and should work but the last time i tried it it wasn't working. part of the issue is i'm still generating all the pages (and even the index) using a dynamic script and as i will transcribe EAMs for at least 2-3 more days, have to edit the currently 1600-line bloated script rather than the pages themselves. too many lines for me to parse, and i "confused" claude the last time i prompted it to implement suggestions along these lines (in part because i wanted the horizontal navigation bars at the top to be consistent in width across the pages, regardless of the maxed out width of any one page. probably not actually achievable, desu)

after wednesday, i wont be transcribing any more eams so anything published is the final version, at which point it's easier to skip the script and edit the individual pages

i let it get bloated since it's effectively a limited-time utility script. it's currently a mutilated amalgam of the scripts as shown in https://github.com/NEETINTEL/neetintel.github.io/tree/main/scripts, which is set up to pull data from an excel file that is structurally similar to https://github.com/NEETINTEL/EAM_SOFTWARE_SUITE/blob/main/shortwaves.csv

I don't use github the way others do, it isn't mirroring any folder structure or even any files on my computer. rather, I've just uploaded things incidentally to show my methodology. from other hobbies, i was left with a sour impression of people who seemed unwilling to share their processes and acted like they had some 'secret methodology', so i've posted things to the github so anyone that ends up discovering all the work i did at any point sees it and doesn't end up frustrated by any lack of transparency. not that any of it is particularly complicated – i mean, it's really a stretch to call a set of 200 line python scripts a 'software suite'.

Well if you go to line 586 of the file that generates the html you can put in some of those styles I showed you. I'm assuming if you don't edited it, since you are hosting on GitHub it should change instantly. Or you could just let phonefags suffer.

Also don't worry too much about idiots on the Internet.

OpenWebRx+ on your SDR should handle most of the signal tomfoolery and plays nice with Debian...any further tomfoolery of deciphering encrypted military data isn't advised

Why do they repeat the LH4ZJC?
I never noticed that before.
>>
Anti-slide bump

>>525782193
For the characters that are repeated in the beginning of a message, do you count those as part of the character length on your database?
So for that last message, it would be 30-char?
>>
Just got here, what's the news?
Any good grabs?
>>
The last hour
>>
>>525784084
Those are the words for the one-time-use cypher. Alpha = A
Charlie = C
Delta = D
and so forth.
That way the C, D, and Z do not get confused with each other over a not very good radio wave.
>>
>>525785986
That's right. In this example, it is 30 characters.

For all the messages, they repeat the first 6 characters of a message. People who monitored the HFGCS in the past called this the "preamble" and that term does appear to be present in unclassified documentation so it's likely the actual name (as opposed to header, or etc.)

>>525784273's message is LH4ZJC3BJ74XCY7WDXYBD4QB4YR2AC, not LH4ZJCLH4ZJCLH4ZJCLH4ZJC3BJ74XCY7WDXYBD4QB4YR2AC.

If you were uncertain, any ambiguity is cleared up when a longer EAM. Any message longer than 30 characters has the length stated by the operator, and you wouldn't be able to reconcile the stated length with the transcribed message except by concluding the repeated preamble is not a part of the message
>>
>>525787991
>That's right. In this example, it is 30 characters.
Excellent. That helps in figuring out how to use your work more effectively, then. Thanks.

>>525787991
>Any message longer than 30 characters has the length stated by the operator
Ahhhh That's why I haven't been hearing the length for the last couple days. I remember during Midnight Hammer they often were stating the lengths.
I understand it's not repeated. I guessed the first 6 chars were to identify the recipient, but seeing as it is part of the actual message I was wondering if I misunderstood the intent of it in relation to your database.
I think I am starting to understand the structure more, now.

WebSDR hostingfag anon here

What I got, and was fairly simple to setup was an MLA-30 powered loop, RTL-SDR v4, and a computer. I recommend toying with power supplies a bit once you're setup, I have my injector for my loop running on a powerbank just not make the feed not all noise, but that's shit you really gotta figure out on your own setup, because it's different for everyone and everything. SDR and Antenna were under $80

Do you have any advice on what other gear I might want to grab? We have a plethora of unused scopes, siggens, network analyzers, and shit like that
>>
>>525790862
Honestly, software OpenWebRX+ does most of the data work, but for addons you'll eventually want a adjustable attenuator ($30) and you'll need some common chokes eventually, but setup works pretty well just "out of the box" if you will. Took me the better part of the day to set it up, but that's mainly because linux issues on a headless pi and me being retarded

The RTL-SDR runs off a computer, so you'll have to have a computer for it too, forgot to mention

I was looking for a decent antenna. I've just been using the stuff I got with my Portapack kit. That MLA-30 looks pretty decent, and you're able to use it for picking up the EAMs?
>>
>>525791303
Yeah, it picks up from 0-30MHz, I chose it because I'm in a noisy RF area, and it's not super sensitive to that. Antenna is dealers choice really, I'm just happy with my MLA-30
>>
>>525791413
How high do you mount it normally?
This guy is using it about 4-5' off the ground I am guessing...but right by a chainlink fence? I question if he'd get better reception away from it.

>>
>>525791624
Height isn't as important as getting away from RF interference, that said, mine's like 20 feet from a powerline and it's doing pretty well. They're very forgiving
