Chinese are more chaste than westerners and value that in women, but that means that women became so excessively picky(because once some guy dips their value drop like a rock) they simply never get into relationships.There are these state organised matchmaking events and you have hundreds of women and dozen of men showing up there. They usually end up with nobody getting a date, the reason there's so few men there is because for them there's no point. The way this entire thing works is that they get approached by women who try to ask a couple of questions to see if they're interested but the questions are like - do you have apartment in tier one city, do you have another one so my parents can move in there, will you buy me an island as an engagement present(I'm using hyperbole desu but you get the point) and if the man says no they're like, oh, good luck then looser and move on to another of the dozen or so guys. That's how these events end up with no dates. Chinese women all want megacorp CEO and anything else is a downgrade. This is one reason why I'm not exactly keen on encouraging hyperfixation on chastity because it leads to situations like this. In the west women get into relationships with all sorts of dudes because there's no cost involved in it and eventually they just decide they're used to them enough to start family.
