Each recession nowadays costs around $10 trillion in bailouts to prevent a bank implosion. How come the people behind this aren't doing hard labor in prison camps? That would scare the hell out of corrupt businessmen, bankers, and politicians, so they'd straighten up. Execution isn't good enough because death isn't very scary to a lot of people. But life in hard labor scares most people terribly, so is a much more effective deterrent to corruption. Why aren't we sentencing corrupt businessmen, bankers, and politicians to life in hard labor, swinging pick axes to break big rocks into smaller rocks for 14 hours a day? This would save our country by eliminating the need for more debt every time a recession is about to start. We haven't had a regular recession since 2001. Each recession since then has rapidly turned into a meltdown that had to be averted with about $10 trillion in bailouts. A system like this is unsustainable and will bankrupt the USA, leading to the dissolution of the USA like the USSR after it went bankrupt. And that puts every American's life at risk, since political breakdowns are very deadly. We need to demand accountability and honest dealing by the bankers, executives, and politicians as a matter of national security and national survival.Sentencing corrupt actors to a life of picrel would fix the system.
