The entire democratic (and general western left leaning parties) for like the past 50 years have only prioritized immigration because of low TFR causing an irreversible govt. debt bomb. They all know that the risk of civil war is high or even inevitable, but it’s at least a problem for the future people, not them. Meanwhile, the alternative (20-30 years of native TFR growth from subsidized housing, conservative traditionalism, etc.) would cause a tripling or even quadrupling of the current gdp/debt ratios, with any default or soft default (printing debt away) resulting in bond collapse and immediate subsequent civil war from weimar hyperinflation and shipments being cancelled due to inflation speed. This is why they will do literally anything to have infinite migration no matter the cost. They know it’s suicide, but that suicide is hypothetically decades later rather than the immediate inevitable civil war of defaulting/printing
