Hmm. I think it is what we always have been told. Global warming is real whilst the human population is booming. As resources become more scarce, war and famine is more likely to break out.A small scale nuclear conflict in South Asia or the Middle East has the potential to disrupt international agricultural production, which is vital to sustaining such a large population.It only takes a few bad harvests to topple empires or completely change population growth. Already everyday people are finding it harder and harder to obtain quality produce and nutrition. It's already happening, but the effects are being staggered. I think the concept that lifestyle/societal change can help us avoid population collapse has run it's course. It's evident that humans won't change their behaviour and will chimp out if it is forced upon them. Now it's just about extracting what wealth you can and getting as far North/South as possible.It blows my mind going to places like China/Europe that the populations are so big without collapsing to begin with. I realised after awhile that this is normal though... most of the world live this way and don't know anything different.
