You are assuming Starlink's satellite network has physical locations for uplink transmission all over the nation. They do not.

Satellites cannot do shit when they don't receive any signals.

Color revolution is over then, I guess.

Also Elon Musk is a participant in the attempted regime change. This plus changing Iran's flag to the Shah flag or whatever it was on X. Did you guys know they also tried to overthrow Assad in the mid 00's using social media? Even back then, like late myspace era. It's true, look it up.

Starlink is used on the frontline in Ukraine while under heavy jamming. It is resilient to it but obviously those trying to don't just stand still and not work out new ways. The Chinese reckon they could do it with like 1000 drones over an area. SpaceX themselves also updates their satellite constellation to better resist it too, so it's a back and forth.

What side is Elon even on

Ok 'freedom' I suppose in a general sense. But, is he trying to bank of nations struggles? Does he have any kind of moral compass. An attack on Iran is an attack on Muhammad (may peace be with him) himself.

Like ok, you litter the sky with vanilla tech, and now what? It's your duty to support further destruction of mankind? Something, still, very sacred, thats being held in Iran. Righteous living, according to the word of God.

Does Elon oppose of the general true sense of good/evil? What is he doing in the sky? Is starlink something supposed to be like perma 'on', regardless of how and what? Everywhere? Ok, I could vouch for that. But.. don't get mad if people don't want any of it on their holy promised lands without knowing the real intent.

Nice, I must have missed it. So ground stations can be really far now?
>>
>>525802006
They have been independent of ground infrastructure since 2021. If you have a terminal basically anywhere on Earth, land or sea, it will connect.

>under heavy jamming
No, russia don't use jamming on frontlines
>>
>>525800684
>>525802006
No Portugal, uplink locations for Starlink is quite literally (you) now. Even thougbh Starlink is interlinked with other satellites cutting off transmission from the ground means (you) won't receive a signal.

Only about 40,000-50,000 people based on reading about this in Iran so it isn't hard. Just go to the people connecting to starlink and jam them.
>>
no more pictures of Iranian girls wearing miniskirts in 1978 :(
>>
>>525804029
Most likely it's a distributed network of high power jammers (military grade, probably Russian or Chinese in origin) that are putting out noise so that the relatively lower powered ground terminals can't be heard by the satellites to upload anything through it. You would have to boost the terminal's power or move out of the area being jammed (most likely major cities).

I assume that's some kind of 'man in the middle' attack. ie They fly ISR planes or drones fitted with starlink recievers that get the signal the ground was supposed to get. Then they forward gibberish data or no data.

>so you can still ping the network?
>And you think they are jamming it?
Are you sure Elon isn't "throttling" it for bibi so the orange golem can say whatever he wants about the situation on the ground to the slaves?
>>
>>525807801
If they have any connection at all, this is more likely. Jammers just run noise on a frequency, or a chunk of spectrum. That MB/s is going to 0... Unless they pulse... never mind.
Israel being Israel, I would assume they would want their agents to be able to able to send updates out, and to be able to coordinate from a distance in the field. This seems more likely, but I don't know anything about irans aa capabilities

Copying this because you copefags avoided it:
"...So you're saying you intentionally lit up the sky with jamming signals that can trivially be traced back to their sources, coinciding exactly with valid military targets?
My i hope they have no enemies that might find such information interesting.

You always could jam them, it just wasn't smart to do so.
The Chinese set up the Iranians."

These things are literally voluntary homing beacons. Which is way worse than just letting it through.

The first protests against Assad organised through social media were in 2011. At least that is what I thought. I couldn't find anything just now relating to the mid 2000s but if there was something I'd be very keen to know.
I'm interested in this because I have a theory that the tactics of the CIA during the Arab Spring were inspired by the 2005 Cronulla Riots in Sydney. As far as I am aware this is the firsr documented case of social media like communication being used to foment large scale, spontaneous and violent protest. In Cronulla it wasn't actually social media being used, since back then social media had very limited reach anyway, but rather an SMS with a date and location for protest that urged you to forward to message to all your contacts.
I'm sure the CIA would have quickly figured out the power of social media to organise real world unrest regardless, but I'm also sure that the people whose job it is to figure out how to spur foreign populations into uprisings would have noticed what went on in Cronulla (it was massive news in Australia for weeks).
As far as I am aware it is the first notable use of text based instant communication used in such a way, but if anyone knows of any examples that pre-date it then let me know.
