As Pokemon cards continue to grow in popularity worldwide, card shops are experiencing a number of thefts. The franchise marks its 30th anniversary.
>>525799241I still have the entire first series from the 90's in a binder somewhere. Is that worth money?
Pokecuck... pathetic. Wh*tecucks play cartoon while the alpha BVLL ass bread their future wifes.
>>525799241why do manchildren ruin everything? what causes this arrested development?
>>525799379Uh-oh
>>525799241This is the low morals of Japanese peopleKoreans never commit illegal act like this
>>525799241It's literally all worthless cardboard. I bet you these "thieves" is just staged gimmick to pump their value on top of all the forced scarcity they do by limiting printing runs.
>>525799486Niggers and jews are bad news, Ichitaro.
>>525799241Scalper here. I enjoy buying the shelves up with friends and opening about 10-15 booster packs. Got really lucky just today and got 3 of the chase cards from the Destined rivals packs and selling them now and several other booster packs at $8 a pack. Biggest rush today to get 3 of the #1 chase card worth over $500 ungraded. Gonna go out of town to buy more shelves up just to make even more profit.

>>525799299as a whole collection maybe 5-10k, individual cards maybe more up to 25k depending on condition, but takes a lot longer to sell.
>>525800243I'm seeing $1500 on Ebay but I think I'll have to dig that out of storage
>>525800358for cards condition is king, it's actually a really big scam there are grading companies that you pay to grade your cards and then it shifts the price from tens to hundreds or thousands of dollars depending on the grade out of 10.also there has been huge speculation in the area of collectibles for about a decade now, during covid everything jumped up x5 and then it has been crashing in 2025, the pokemon bubble is being inflated currently and there is a lot of fomo since many americans in their 30s and 40s grew up with pokemon and are struggling financially now so they are doing exactly what you are doing.it's basically a ponzi scheme unfolding in real time.
>>525800525Thanks for the heads up
WotC has pulled scarity scams since the 90s when Magic started slipping in sales.
>>525800076Who TF is even buying this shit? I have holo charizard, blastoice, and venasaur from 1995 and would rather have the $.
>>525800752Those who seek it. It's a profitable trend that's 30 years strong. FYI. I have several of the shadow base sets in grade 9-10 PSA worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. When the collection trends winds down. It will be the time to sell them hard.
