Has anyone else noticed how we’ve been blasted with huge stories in January?

-(late December 2025 I into January) Minnesota Somali child care fraud, allegedly $9 billion
>Swiss bar fire on NYE
-woke up Jan 3rd to news that the US swooped into Venezuela and captured Maduro
>ICE shoots lady in the face
>US seized more oil tankers
>more talks of taking over Greenland

The Swiss bar fire would still be in the news if it weren’t for Venezuela, ICE, and Greenland. Human tragedy stories generally take a backseat to politics, but it happened very quickly.

The US seized three (3) oil tankers in January; two on January 7th and one on January 9th. At any other time in recent years this would have been a huge deal but it was barely a blip in the news.
