This is not a case of colonizers splitting the land randomly. We are indigenous. The borders are exactly as they were in the medieval period. The only exception being that Stalin erased Prussia (by the right of conquest). He split it into Warmia and Mazury and the Królewiec Oblast so that there would be no "Polish Corridor" controversy any longer. Smart.
