Why didn't China collapse? USSR collapsed.
>>525819569It will collapse. Also in part because they are less diverse than the USSSR with less separatists and satellite states.
>>525819569literally God's will. He willed to soft the leaders of the world hearts, and it started with Russia back in those days
>>525819569Revolutions generally only succeed when the military and/or major political elites stop supporting the regime and allow it to fail. The Chinese military remained loyal to the state and crushed the pro-democracy demonstrators at Tiananmen square. The Soviet military did not do this because they were facing nationalist mass movements in the baltics Chechnya and Ukraine, among others, while at the same time there were mass pro-democracy movements in the capital, and the warsaw pact states were falling off one by one. A situation China did not go through.
China almost didn't make it through the 70s-80s, the government was a lot weaker than they want everyone to think.
>>525819569China abandoned communism
>>525819569Because China never allowed competitive elections like Gorbachev. Same with North Korea, Cuba, and Vietnam.Gorbachev crashed the USSR with no survivors.
>>525819569You could say they went through something similar after Mao died and Deng reformed things. Just not a collapse and they managed to maintain continuity since then.
>>525819569Because George Bush Sr. betrayed the Chinese opposition by not revoking Most Favored Nation Status after the Tiananmen Square Massacre. Michael Dukakis wanted to sanction China for the massacre. They built a fucking Statue of Liberty out of papier mache and the USG just ignored them. Now Americans are paying the price of overlooking their corporations outsourcing everything to a tyranny that wants them dead, because of short term Wall Street profits. They had the communists on their knees and didn't deal the killing blow.
CCP official narrative goes that Deng Xiaoping saved the country by opening it up to the outside world and adopting market economics, but this is a half-truth. In reality the government was gutted by the Cultural Revolution and its authority outside the larger cities had nearly collapsed during the 70s. Deng was an entirely conventional believer in Soviet-style communism but had no choice but to give in to reforms to prevent a civil war from breaking out. The peasants especially hated the planned economy, collective farms, and internal passport system so the party gave them what they wanted by junking that stuff in exchange for please not revolting. Party cadres were being lynched by angry mobs in the countryside.
>>525819577if china had a democratic government the US still would have outsourced everything
>>525819579Easier to compete when trade unions aren't literally outlawed in the competitor country.China is structured as a giant sweatshop.
>>525819569Fundamentally different countries, just because they were both nominally "communist" does not mean China and the USSR were anything alike. For starters, China is far more homogenous than the Russian Empire ever was and China doesn't have any secessionist nationalism threatening it, only Tibet and Xinjiang are potentially secessionist and they've already been demographically conquered by Han settlement and assimilation.
>>525819569US needed China in order to deindustrialize and remove power from American workers.
>>525819569>why hasn't the country the west is entirely dependent on and sold out to not collapsed?
>>525819577>Because George Bush Sr. betrayed the Chinese opposition There were sanctions on China, but they were later removed after China voted in line with Washington. It’s ironic that Bush wants to point fingers at the “evil” CCP when he lifted the Tiananmen sanctions shortly after China voted to abstain in the UN vote on his Gulf War. >communists on their kneesThe students were singing the Internationale and wanted Deng dead for removing price controls and state guaranteed jobs.
They had close shaves but managed to pull through. They will probably last the end of this century but the demographic crisis is coming for them the same as everybody else, and China doesn't have immigration to slow it down. More likely whoever replaces Xi will have to implement aggressive breeding programs to offset the depopulation death spiral that is going to kick off in the latter decades of the 21st century, and really get going in the 22nd.
>>525819570>It will collapseHow many weeks status?
>>525819577Praise allah they did not.Now the globohomists have to temper their aims/pace because there is an alternative that doesn’t think trannys need to run every daycare center.Competition is good for the consumer and the citizen alike.
>>525819586Probably as soon as Xi dies or retires and is replaced. States under a single party monocracy tend to not survive succession
>>525819588That will depend entirely on the Chink Commie party picking someone competent
>>525819585>humanity existing in the 22nd century
Perestroika attempted to reform the Soviet planned economy. Deng Xiaoping realized this would end up a convoluted mess and opted for a mixed economy. It seems counterintuitive since Perestroika aimed to keep control under the communist party, but in practice they created a cadre of detached bureaucrats while opposition grew on the outside, whereas the CPC adapted to the growing private sector and learned to control it.
>>525819578>Deng was an entirely conventional believer in Soviet-style communismNo, he was advocating for a return to market economy long before he became Premier. People were denouncing him for being a rightist way before he came to power
>>525819569They allowed free markets. Next question.
>>525819569Because the entire world outsourced its production to it, that's literally the only reason. We served them the world on a silver platter.
>>525819569amerimuttistan is a loose prostitute that makes its living with divorce rape.amerimuttistan tried to divorce rape its drug dealer, which is the CCP, and got them hooked on the all too addicting drug of outsourcing.mutts are already backing out of Taiwan, so the CCP is here to stay for a long time.
>>525819569China and Russia different.
>>525819596This. Russians are tacky, low IQ, impulsive, nihilistic, narcissistic, anti-communal like every other slav. Their history is being tax collector thugs for Mongols or being a gigantic brothel for Mamelukes and Turks. Chinese have overcome ages of strife and came back stronger each time. By far the most collectivist people in East Asia which is why they are the most successful in applying Marxist theory. That ship has sailed for pretty much every other race.
>>525819569They make everything, not just military stuff.
CPSU took control of the Duma and inhereted basically all the shitty Tsarist state institutions, they slapped a coat of red paint on them, did some mild civic reforms and called it a day, this led to the USSR having an extremely top down, paternalistic system where daddy Government knew best and your only interaction with politics was the boring ass union rep meetings at work places that were usually just a single Karen union rep being a turbo Karen at people, that people endured rather than really participated in.CPC evolved instead from isolated, independent hidden underground cells in a country where one village is functionally cut off from the rest, this meant that the CPC evolved in a much more natural, grassroots way that heavily relied on a form of direct democracy (Mass Line) and this system basically merged with Marxist Leninism to become a much more grassroots and representative and frankly, democratic form than the CPSU, China's system allows (even encourages) protest, it does constant policy testing with direct democratic input, villages have reps who work closesly with the people, Mass Line means that the average person largely can have impact on policy, and studies show that the average Chinese person has MORE impact on policy than the average Westerner.CPC also was nowhere near as revisionist as the CPSU, Deng never abandoned Marxism like Khrushchev and the Soviets did. He adapted China to Market reforms, while still keeping in place the Marxist character, Chinese characteristics actually refers to Daoism vs Legalism influence on Chinese politics as well. (Mao was a Legalist, Deng famously a Daoist)In the end as well, Chinese political leadership was just far more pragmatic, adaptable and long sighted than the braindead leadership of the USSR post-Stalin.
>>525819569They suffered a touch time but being pretty much and ethnostate where the commonees are used to obey to an absolute power without bitching prevented a total collapse. Being a centralized state unlike the Federal URSS also helped
>>525819569>USSR collapsed. The anormality is the fact that the USSR collapsed, not that China survived. And the Union collapsed because Gorby fucked the economy with his liberal reforms, and then opened elections. Unsurprisingly, the nationalist wanted out, which lead to the dissolution with a poorly liberalized economy.>inb4 why did the chinese economy adapt ?Their economy didn't fail like the USSR because it wasn't as planned. This made it so that once Deng took power, he was able to quickly make their state-owned companies productive by introducing competition, accurate pricing, enterprise autonomy etc.>>525819577The protests were literally for communism. The students wanted to revert the dengist free market reforms and go back to state planning with guaranteed jobs.>>525819578>Deng was an entirely conventional believer in Soviet-style communismNo he wasnt. During the Cultural Revolution, Deng was literally purged as a “capitalist roader”. His market reforms were directly inspired by Singapore.>>525819591Deng's reforms were before the perestroïka.>>525819599>Deng never abandoned Marxism like Khrushchev and the Soviets did. Can you elaborate ? Unless Marxism boils down to not condemning Stalin, I don't see how Khrushchev abandonned marxism.
>>525819569Because chinese population, unlike Soviet, consisted (and consist now) peasantry of at least 60-70%.
>>525819599China being a "form of direct democracy" is the most retarded communist bullshit I've ever read on this site.
>commie bootlicking No wonder /his/ is shit
>>525819569The USSR collapsed because the Old Guard of the CPSU tried of overthrew the government in a coup, which convinced everyone that gradual change was impossible and things needed to be turned over NOW.These was no such coup in China.
Chinese are like bugs. Cockroaches. It’s an admirable trait, their refusal to die. We should all want to be more like bugs.
>>525819588Xi will likely have a successor picked out, it's just a question of if there are any other ambitious men who will challenge that successor for control and how bad the competition will get.
>>525819590Humanity will be fine. Human civilization will even still exist probably. I'm not sure about the current level of technology though.
>>525819569Jews chose it as the factory of jewish globalism. They began building it up after WW2. Picrel is Ben Shapiro's great uncle.
>>525819569they had the brains to throw the retarded commie ideology to trash where it belongs and transitioned to a more stable fascist system
