It is 2026, and we find ourselves at a crossroads that is the culmination of years of corruption, distraction, and obsession.All anyone wants is happiness, and yet it seems to be in shorter and shorter supply every passing year. Yet, we aren’t lazy, we’ve been working harder than ever.Despite our hard work, many of us are barely treading water, living pay check to pay check, unable to come up with funds in an emergency, burdened with massive debt, all the while everything becomes more and more expensive.We’re hurting, and we know it. And we look to our neighbors with hatred in our hearts, see them as “illegal” or “right wing” or “atheist” or some other label we’ve been convinced is an existential threat to us. And in kind, our neighbors look unto us with their own disgust. In reality, we get bills in our mailboxes on the same street, and our garbage taken out the same day but we fill ours lives with dividing lines so that we remain comfortable in our consumerist misery.Our demagogs preach these dividing lines to us and encourage our collective disease in order to keep the big machine moving, all under their direction. we hate people that love the same things and most of the same values as eachother and beleive ourselves to have more in common with billionaires and politicians than our own neighborsthey tear our families apart, turning us against one another, all the while making sure we have cheap nick knacks we dont actually need like coffee machines, televisions, gaming consoles, labubu, plastic surgery, designer clothes, fast food, alcohol, and fancy cars in order to keep us distracted from their trechery and to keep us and our resources spent on shit that is slowly killing us
